Sprint Expands 4G LTE Availability To 34 New Markets, Brings Nationwide Coverage Up To 185

Compared to Verizon and AT&T, Sprint's network leaves much to be desired in terms of both data speeds and coverage. This isn't the result of a lack of effort, though, as the Kansas-based company has steadily rolled out LTE to new markets throughout the summer. Today the company has announced the availability of 4G LTE in 34 new markets, bringing the total number from 151 up to 185. Sprint customers throughout the South, Midwest, North Carolina, Oregon, and Pennsylvania should now have a new reason to smile.

Sprint Introduces 4G LTE Availability To 41 New Markets, Brings Nationwide Coverage Up To 151 Total

The company is hard at work, and today they've announced the availability of 4G LTE in 41 new markets.

Sprint's LTE Network Just Went Live In Kansas City - More Markets To Follow?

If you're a Sprint subscriber in the Kansas City area, you should probably be getting excited, as Sprint's 4G LTE network went live in portions of that market early yesterday. Sprint has confirmed this with S4GRU, and has stated more markets around the greater Kansas City area will continue to light up until that region's rollout is complete. Additional markets, as we know, are scheduled to go online on the 15th, though based on what we're seeing here, that could be an "at the latest" sort of date.

Sprint To Confirm 4G LTE Deal During Upcoming Earnings Call On July 28th

Sprint has been doing everything in its power to earn customers lately, but this may be the thing that reels in the biggest fish: according to CNET, The Now Network will be announcing a 4-5 billion dollar LTE deal with LightSquared during its upcoming earnings call on July 28th.
