Sony's Xperia Z5 is the story of three phones. Like with previous iterations, there's the usual Z5 and Z5 Compact, but this time they're joined by the Z5 Premium. The last addition is the biggest, baddest model in the lineup, but Sony remains the one major smartphone manufacturer that remains convinced bigger isn't always better. Read More
Sony kind of announced the Z4 a few months ago, but now it's moving quickly toward a do-over with the Z5. There will actually be three phones called Z5, which could be announced in a few days at IFA. You don't have to wait, though. A video from the French site Clubic was leaked showing off the Z5 in moderate detail. Read More
As we await the release of new Android Wear watches, we have time to reflect on all those first-gen wrist computers. The Sony Smartwatch 3 was actually a pretty neat device with its full microUSB and transflective LCD. It's getting a little cooler still today with an official companion app that adds three new watch faces. Read More
Until Dawn, for the uninitiated, is not a game about seeing who can stay up the latest. It's a survival horror title set to hit the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, August 25th. Players will be in for a frightening experience that's meant to be played multiple times, with each adventure lasting around ten hours.
Just before the big day, Sony has released the official Until Dawn companion app into the Play Store. As long as the app is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the console, you will be able to use your phone or tablet to unlock secrets and keep track of collectibles. Read More
Is a leak a leak if it comes directly from Sony? Anyway, we've had reason to know the SmartBand 2 was on its way. We've just been waiting for a time frame. Well, here it is. The big addition for this year's model is the inclusion of a heart rate monitor. This extra sensor gives the SmartBand 2 the ability to detect your pulse and gauge how quickly your heart is beating. It can then track this information as you walk, run, or workout. Read More
Sony is ahead of most other OEMs when it comes to its support of open source. Now Sony has provided a few more details, including a launch time frame. The Smart B-Trainer is scheduled to hit the US this fall.
The SSE-BTR1 headphone-integrated device comes with six sensors. There's a barometer and gyroscope, along with the tech required to measure your acceleration, cardinal direction, GPS location, and heart rate.
The companion app lets you log your runs. This means tracking how far you ran, how long you took, how high you went, how many steps, how quickly you moved, how many calories you burned in the process, and a number of other measurements. Read More

In responses to tweets, @ViziLeaks details what we're seeing and not seeing in this image. There's a side power button on the side of the Xperia Z5. This apparently doubles as a fingerprint sensor, which you can see by looking at the software on both devices. Read More
