Hey, HTC One M7 (2013) owners on T-Mobile, are you jealous of your counterparts in Europe, or on Sprint, or those who use the Developer Edition? You know, because they all have the Lollipop update (or at least access to a ROM file) before you do?

Verizon Xperia Z2 Tablet Gets An OTA Update With PS4 Remote Play Support And A Few Other Tweaks

I don't know how many tablets Verizon typically sells, especially if you limit that to non-iPads. But however many of you picked up the admittedly neat Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet from Big Red, check your status bar for an update alert. Today's software update adds something even neater: the ability to remotely play games on your PlayStation 4 over your home Wi-Fi network. You'll need the official Remote Play app and a Dual Shock 4 controller to take advantage of it.

Some Verizon Ellipsis 7 Owners Report Boot Loops After KitKat Over-The-Air Update

The Verizon Ellipsis 7 is probably not the first choice for tablets among Android Police readers. It's a low-end, whitebox tablet from some no-name OEM that Verizon has rebranded in order to create a product that could sit at the very bottom of its tablet lineup. Even so, those people who did buy an Ellipsis 7 (or got one for free in various packaged promotions) were probably quite happy to see the KitKat update come in a couple of weeks ago..

Samsung Rolls Out A Lollipop Update To The Galaxy Note Edge In Australia

The Galaxy Note Edge is a little weird, a little out there. So it's only appropriate that Samsung has chosen Australia as the first place to roll out the phone's Lollipop update. According to SamMobile, Note Edge owners in Oz started seeing the update late last night local time, at least for the SM-N915G variant of the phone. As far as we've seen, Australia is the first market to get the update for the Note Edge.

Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F (International Snapdragon Version) And Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 Getting Lollipop In Some Markets

We've been seeing a handful of Samsung flagships get updated to Lollipop here in the United States, where the lion's share of phones are still sold with shackles firmly attached to the carriers. The standard international model of the Note 4 uses Samsung's own Exynos chipset, but there's also a variant with a Snapdragon 805, model number SM-N910F. Users in Germany can access the official Lollipop update on these phones today via Samsung's Kies program, according to SamMobile.

Fuhu's Nabi 2 Tablet Gets An Overdue Update To Android KitKat

Look, Fuhu's products aren't for you. They're for your kids, or possibly your extended family if you're a really cool uncle or grandma or something. So the company doesn't have the same kind of demanding scrutiny for timely software updates as, say, the latest Galaxy Tab. Even so, the Nabi 2's update to Android 4.4 is being sent out almost a year and a half after the software was first available, and it's not like Fuhu has a ton of other products waiting in line.

NVIDIA SHIELD Portable Update 101 Tweaks Performance For Game Emulators

In his review of the original SHIELD a year and a half ago, Jeremiah Rice noted that NVIDIA's gaming gadget was amazingly well-suited to game emulators. Combined with a robust emulation scene on Android, especially for older game consoles, it's possible to play a ton of great games on the SHIELD without ever stopping by the Play Store. This morning NVIDIA issued a software update specifically to improve performance for game emulator apps.

[Update: Live] HTC Says T-Mobile's One M8 Will Get Its Lollipop OTA Starting On Monday, February 9th

HTC missed its 90-day goal to deliver Android 5.0 upgrades to all owners of the One M8 and One M7. They're very sorry about that. But to give credit where it's due, it does seem like the company is genuinely trying to get its hardware updated as soon as possible.

Indian readers, if you picked up a budget-friendly Android One device when the new line launched last year, you're probably wondering where your !@#$ing Lollipop upgrade is. After all, Google promised speedy upgrades when they launched the phones with help of local manufacturers Spice, Karbonn, and Micromax.
