Evernote Kills Skitch For All Platforms (Except Mac) And Evernote For Pebble


Evernote has just decided to kill its sketching, drawing, and annotating application Skitch. The app hadn't been updated since March 2015, and even then it was a small bug fix release that didn't do much to improve the responsiveness, functionality, or speed of the application. Now Skitch is officially marked as done. Evernote will no longer update it as of today, and the app will be removed from the Play Store on January 22 although it will continue to work if you have it installed.

Skitch, a popular annotation and sharing app, received an update to version 2.0 today with a redesigned interface, a handful of useful markup tools, and improved Evernote integration.

For those unaware, Skitch is an app that allows users to "communicate visually with friends, co-workers, or anyone." Essentially, it can draw in resources like notes, photos, screenshots, or maps, and then add markup to convey ideas or highlight important aspects of the document for later reference or sharing.
