At least once or twice a year you hear about some desperate and/or stupid person who decided to be their own doctor, suturing their wounds with staples or fishing wire in lieu of an emergency room visit. If that sounds like fun, then Amateur Surgeon 3 from the quirky folks at Adult Swim is right up your artery. This is an Android release of a Flash and iOS game, not to mention a gruesome and sarcastic take on the old 'Operation' idea.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a stylish fantasy defender, a strangely alluring boxing simulator, and a visually impressive skiing game.

It's finally here, folks: the most-anticipated agrarian simulation game of the year is now available on the Google Play Store. If you wile away the lonely Kansas nights with the latest Tractor Supply Company catalogs, if you've ever found yourself checking out a ball hitch on eBay, if the words "crop rotation" get you hot and bothered, then this is your game.

"Tired of farming alone?" asks the Farming Simulator 2014 trailer, as if it didn't already know.

Transport Tycoon needs no introduction, but I'm going to introduce it anyway. You see, as popular as this title was, many of us managed to miss it. Actually, that probably doesn't come as much of a surprise. A game about transporting people and products around isn't exactly the easiest sell. Yet if you take the time to dig in, there is a wealth of content here that's sure to hook you for a very long time.

An official port of the wildly popular Transport Tycoon PC title is blazing towards Android full steam ahead. The game, which is being designed and directed by original creator Chris Sawyer, is set to launch in just two weeks. Sawyer's company and development partner Origin8 have announced that the title will launch on mobile devices on October 3rd.

If the graphics in the screenshots above don't exactly get you excited, that's because this is a port of a game that first launched nearly two decades ago, and the developers haven't done much to pretty things up.

While an open source remake is already available on Google Play, an official version of Transport Tycoon is coming to Android before the end of 2013. The game's original creator, Chris Sawyer, is designing and directing what is being billed as the definitive version of the simulation classic. Developers at Origin8 Technologies, who are also working on the game, have recreated and restored Sawyer's original code and are revising it for touchscreen devices.

I hope you've been paying attention to Harry's teachings for the last six years. You're going to need the code if you hope to avoid getting caught in Dexter the Game 2, which has just been released to the Play Store today. We first heard about this one back in July, before season 7 got underway. Now it's more than half over. Right around the time the story starts to lull before ramping back up to the finale.

Back in April, we reported that SEGA released Football Manager Handheld 2012, a game that allows you to simulate what it would be like to run a soccer football team. Of course, I honestly couldn't tell you five differences between futbol and handegg, so I may not be the best judge of how fun these games are. Then again, I used to play a game where I pretended to be the owner of a large hotel.

Kairosoft is a gaming company that has built a name for themselves on quality. Their simulation games have constantly topped many reviewers' "best of" list for Android titles, and personally they've enthralled me for many an hour.

It seems almost peculiar, though, that they've never delved too deeply into in-app payments or other models that are more prevalent on the Android platform. Kairosoft has stuck to their guns and delivered a full game for a set price, forgoing "pay to win" shortcuts in favour of good mechanics and pure fun.

Have you ever dreamed of creating and managing your own imaginary school? No? Well Kairosoft has launched a game that lets you do just that, regardless.

Indeed, Kairosoft, who has in recent memory brought us such releases as Dungeon Village and Cafeteria Nipponica, today made available a "management simulation game" called Pocket Academy. As its name suggests, with the app, you can use your phone to create a school that matches your dreams perfectly.
