SimCity BuildIt Is Now Available Internationally After A Limited Launch, Complete With Towering In-App Purchases From EA

Fans of the classic SimCity franchise, today is... no, wait. EA has the license for SimCity, don't they? And this is an EA mobile game? Yeeeeeaaaaah, maybe you folks should just track down an old Pentium 4 machine and load up SimCity 2000 instead.

If Electronic Arts' terrible track record of reviving classic franchises for mobile doesn't dissuade you, then SimCity BuildIt is now available internationally from the Play Store. As with most EA games, it has had a brief period of geographically-restricted testing, but now it looks like most territories with access to the Play Store have access to the game.

LEGO Adds Creator Islands To Its Growing Stable Of Kid-Friendly Building Games With No IAP

It's pretty impressive how quickly LEGO has transitioned from a conventional toy (sorry, versatile interlocking brick system) manufacturer into a media powerhouse, with entries touching every part of pop culture. EA Announces SimCity BuildIt For Android Without A Launch Date, So You'll Have To Wait To Be Bitterly Disappointed

There's a new SimCity game coming to Android! That's good! But it's being published by Electronic Arts, one of the worst citizens of the mobile gaming nation. That's bad.
