Heads up! Daily Steals is knocking $100 off an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note GSM handset. It looks like the bands won't work with T-Mobile's "4G" network, but if you're on AT&T in the states, or you're looking to score a Note for your local GSM carrier elsewhere in the world, today's your lucky day.

The deal is good for today only, so don't waste time. As always, be sure to check and make sure that the unlocked device supports your local carrier's bands before buying.

GALAXY S WiFi 4.2 Product Image (2)

Android typically makes its bread and butter on phones, with a side order of tablets. Palm-sized media players aren't usually on the menu, save for Samsung's own offerings. Today, the company announced a refresh for its handheld phone-less device. The notPod may not be the most in-demand category of devices, but if Samsung's taught us anything this week, it's that the company isn't one to turn down a niche market.

I bet you thought that when Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1 2, that the company was finished unveiling 10.1" tablets for the week. Not so! Today Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10.1, a full-size tablet packed with the Galaxy Note's trademark S Pen. Oh, and did we mention that the tablet comes pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas? Yeah. It's actually pretty cool.

While the Galaxy Note has had its fair share of critics, the supersized phablet has also gotten some pretty glowing reviews.

GALAXY_Tab_2_(10.1)_Product_Image_(1)

Almost a week ago, we got a peek at the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Sammy's latest 7" iteration of the Galaxy Tab line. As expected, the Korean manufacturer has just unveiled the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 - the 7.0's bigger, badder counterpart.

Look familiar? The Tab 2 10.1's form factor is reminiscent of the 10.1n, with an added touch of style to the forward-oriented speaker grills. As for the Tab 2's specs, here's what we know so far:

  • 10.1" 1280x800 PLS TFT display
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (with TouchWiz UX)
  • VGA front shooter and 3MP main camera
  • 16/32GB Internal storage, expandable via MicroSD
  • 1GB RAM
  • 1GHz Dual-core processor
  • HSPA+ 21MBps 850/900/1900/2100 connectivity (in the non Wi-Fi variant)
  • Incredible 7,000 mAh battery

Many of the specs above should look familiar too, as they are shared with the original Galaxy Tab 10.1.

s3

While the much-talked-about Galaxy S III will be conspicuously absent from MWC this year, BGR has received an exclusive tip relaying some of the handset's juicy details. To start with, BGR reports that Samsung is holding off the S III's big reveal in order to "shorten the gap" between announcement and official release. Samsung is evidently planning to release the S III in over 50 global markets simultaneously.

The S III is also rumored (according to BGR's "trusted source") to be packing a 4.8" display (thought to be Super AMOLED Plus HD), a quad-core processor, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 4G LTE connectivity, and a stylish back piece made entirely of a ceramic material.

gnex_pogo_dock

The Galaxy Nexus launched with rather little accessory support from Samsung. Recently, they (finally) released a GPS mount, and now the pogo desktop dock has hit the store and is available for purchase. What's special about a pogo dock compared to a normal dock? This dock uses pogo pins - which match up to the three metal dots on the side of the GNexus - to charge the phone, rather than a normal charging port.

I'm not sure how season two of Fact Checkers Unit escaped our attention back in January, but thanks to Samsung's official blog which highlighted this hilarious series today, we now know better. And let me tell you, if you haven't seen any of the new episodes yet, you're in for a treat.

Fact Checkers Unit started as a short film with Bill Murray, then turned into a web series (Hulu has the first season episodes as well), and thanks to Samsung, MTV, SXM Entertainment, and Moxie Pictures has now reached season two.

Rumors of an upcoming ruggedized handset for AT&T made their way around the 'net earlier this week, and that handset is now a reality on Big Blue. • 4GB internal storage, microSD card slot
  • 5 MP rear shooter
  • 1.3 MP front camera
  • Dustproof
  • Waterproof (submergible up to 1 meter for 30 minutes)
  • 1650mAh battery
  • Android 2.3

T-Mobile and Samsung announced just moments ago that the Galaxy S Blaze 4G that was unveiled at CES earlier this year will be available beginning in "late March," priced at $149.99 (after $50 mail-in rebate card) for two-year agreements with qualifying voice/data plans. The S Blaze 4G will be a T-Mobile exclusive device, and will evidently include T-Mo's 4GPro App Pack, meaning the phone will come with apps like Dropbox, Evernote, Square, TripIt, Camscanner, and LinkedIn preloaded.
