An Israeli security researcher takes a good look at Samsung's Tizen, labels it the worst code he has ever seen

Android is a hulking beast as far as global user share is concerned — hell, it's the most-used operating system in the world, surpassing even Windows (in terms of internet usage). When Samsung announced that it was creating its own open-source alternative to Google's mobile OS, it was not really a surprise. We've had several upstarts over the years, like Sailfish, Firefox OS, Ubuntu Touch, and so on, but all of them have failed in some form or another. There were a few people, however, who thought Sammy could be the one to unseat Google and Android with a mobile operating system that it called Tizen.

Samsung celebrates the S8's design with a story book and an interactive presentation for Milan Design Week

Samsung is really, really, really proud of the Galaxy S8 and S8+'s design. Not only did it spend a lot of time talking it up during the device's official announcement, it is also touting it left and right at every opportunity... and for good reason. The S8 and S8+ take every compliment that was said about the S7 and S7 Edge and push it further. The curves, lines, design, material, finishes, everything just comes together to create a gorgeous smartphone that can disappear to let the display shine or pop up when you choose to focus on it.

Samsung will be exhibiting the S8 at Milan Design Week (think Mobile World Congress but for design).

Google initially spearheaded virtual reality on Android with Google Cardboard, which evolved into the more complete Daydream VR platform. T-Mobile demos gigabit LTE on the Samsung Galaxy S8

The LTE on your phone is pretty fast these days as long as you've got a good signal. It's not as fast as LTE on the Galaxy S8, though. T-Mobile has posted a demo of the GS8 hitting nearly 1Gbps in a laboratory test. It won't do this in real life, but the hardware can do it. T-mobile is working to upgrade its network to take full advantage.

Thanks to a new partnership, Samsung Pay users will be able to shop online wherever Visa Checkout is accepted

Out of the different mobile payment solutions, Samsung Pay is probably my favorite — granted, my experience with Apple Pay has been limited thus far. Not only is there no bootloader restriction, but the support for old-fashioned magnetic terminals is a huge plus. But what about online shopping? Sammy has its customer base covered with the newly announced partnership with Visa, which will allow Samsung Pay users to shop at any virtual merchant who accepts Visa Checkout.
