Samsung Buys Media Streaming Startup Boxee For $30 Million

Samsung has bought Boxee for a reported $30 million. Details have not been provided, but it's within reason to assume that Samsung is seeking expertise to improve both its Smart TV product line and the company's broader media ecosystem. The acquisition will bring all of Boxee's employees over to work for the company after, we assume, Samsung's execs visited the Boxee webpage and took the big green button perhaps too literally.

Verizon Announces 32GB Samsung Galaxy S4 – $299.99 On Contract, Pre-Order Now, Ships July 3rd

The microSD card slot on the Galaxy S4 has come in handy for plenty of owners. The standard 16GB GS4 only has about 8GB of storage available, which was a little shocking when it came out. The Galaxy S4 Mini isn't as powerful as the original S4, its screen isn't as nice, nor is it as easy to find. That said, an unlocked version of Galaxy S4 Mini is available today-only on eBay for $499.99. It's not that much cheaper than the full-sized version, but that may not matter for people with smaller hands or tighter pockets.

Rumors and hints at Google's next release of Android have been spilling out for months, but today we've got some evidence that Android 4.3 may be real and nearing completion. SamMobile got their hands on what's purported to be a pre-release build of the upcoming version of Jelly Bean (yes, it's still Jelly Bean), apparently intended for the brand-new Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, which hasn't even started shipping itself. The ROM was swiftly ported to the generic LTE version of the Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) that currently serves as the de facto standard for US carriers.
