Samsung's Virtual Reality Headset Shows Up In A Photo Ahead Of Alleged IFA Unveiling

We've heard rumor after rumor of Samsung's virtual reality headset in recent weeks, and according to the Verge the manufacturer is (as previous rumors suggested) set to unveil the device (codenamed Project Moonlight) at its upcoming Unpacked event in Berlin and New York, where Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Note 4. What's more, the Verge has what appears to be a photo of the headset, next to a Samsung phone and Bluetooth controller.

Sprint's First Spark-Enabled LTE Tablet Is The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Coming August 15th

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Allegedly Leaks Ahead Of Official Unveiling

Samsung Gear Live Also Getting The Update To Android Wear Build KMV78Y

LG responded to concerns over corrosion of the G Watch charging pins by making a few tweaks with the KMV78Y update. Now the same build is rolling out to the Samsung Gear live, which as far as I'm aware, doesn't have the same charging pin issues. How curious.

[New App] T-Mobile Releases Official SIM Unlocking App, For Galaxy Avant Only Right Now

T-Mobile is really taking a run at this whole kinder, gentler carrier thing. Among its many initiatives is the Samsung Galaxy Avant, a modestly specced phone that you can unlock (to use on other carriers) with the newly released SIM unlock app. It might come to more phones later, but it's a step in the right direction anyway.

Verizon Galaxy S5 Receives OTA Software Update Version G900VVRU1ANE9 Providing Numerous Minor Enhancements

Verizon is sending out an over-the-air software update to Galaxy S5 owners that brings in a number of improvements. Though, before you get too excited, most of these changes skew towards the minor side of things. Verizon's Caller Name ID, Message+, and Cloud apps have all been updated. Likewise, some of Samsung's apps and accessories have seen attention as well. Web Search has been added to S Finder, and Visual Voicemail now works when the S-View flip cover is closed.

Samsung Tells Its Investors A Phone With 'New Materials' Is Coming In The Next 6 Months

Samsung spent a lot of time at its latest earnings call trying to re-assure investors that its meteoric rise to the top of the Android hardware business wasn't going to end anytime soon. The Wall Street Journal quotes Senior Vice President Kim Hyun-Joon, who mentioned two incoming models in particular: one with a large screen, and one that would be made using "new materials." The former is almost certainly the next iteration of the Galaxy Note, which has been released in the latter half of the year since 2011.
