Smack in the middle of the holiday season, Gameloft has cut prices on just about all of its paid games in a "Holiday Frenzy." If you've got a couple dollars to spare and some time to kill, Gameloft likely has something you'll enjoy, slicing prices on everything from The Adventures of Tin Tin to Wild Blood down to a mere $0.99. Conspicuously absent from the sale is Modern Combat 4, but the 12 other deals make up for its exclusion (though this writer posits that the game may just be worth its $6.99 price tag).

I don't know about you, but when I think of the holidays, my mind immediately jumps to gang violence, prostitutes and M ratings. Which is great for me, because Grand Theft Auto III (normally $4.99) and Max Payne Mobile (normally $2.99) are both on sale for just a dollar each on the Play Store right now. God bless us, everyone indeed!

If you decide to buy these games, be sure to clear out plenty of space on your device.

Wild Blood, the game that challenges players to "live the unforgettable journey of Sir Lancelot" (in a universe where Lancelot incurs King Arthur's wrath by having an affair with Queen Guinevere, leading to the introduction of hellish demons to Earth), got our stamp of approval in October as a great game for "mindlessly slicing monsters to death," but it may have been a hard purchase to justify for some players at a cost of $6.99.

Everyone's favorite mind-reading keyboard, SwiftKey, just received an update that brings a handful of new languages (Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Hindi, Hinglish, Irish, Macedonian, Latin American Spanish, and Tagalog), as well as improved language pack downloads, improved key layouts for some keyboards, general bug fixes, and a split keyboard layout for "normal-sized" devices. Horray for making things better!

As if that's not enough, though – the keyboard is also on sale for the holidays.

Hide your wallets, folks. Every dang game on the Play Store, it seems, is on sale today. Whether you're looking for a FPS, racing games, or something with the word Zombie in the title, there are plenty of options for you. For example, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies which manages two out of three of those qualifies at once! Normally, $6.99, this one's been dropped to $2.99. This sale will be going on through January 3rd.

We've talked about AIDE, the mobile developer toolkit that allows you to write Android apps (almost) entirely on your phone or tablet. In those past discussions, we've mentioned that you can probably get by with just the free version. The premium key offers a few nice extra features, though, like APK publishing, Git push/commit, and saving large project files.

Most of the features of the premium version are handy if you want to code entirely on your mobile devices which, admittedly, most of you probably won't want to do.

Tis the season, Android shoppers. Today there's a cavalcade of games from a variety of developers on sale in the Google Play Store, as well as some of Loud Crow's interactive books for children. We haven't seen any word of when this sale will end, so if you want any of the games or apps listed above, get 'em while they're hot. First, to the game shelf!

Amazon's Gold Box deals are some of my favorite discounts to check out every morning. In fact, outside of the Gold Box, the only other deal destinations I regularly visit are Amazon-owned MyHabit and TouchOfModern, a site full of inspiration and ultramodernism.

But back to the deal. If you've been eying Amazon's latest Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet (remember all those holidays that are coming at us fast?), today's Gold Box deal of the day should most definitely make it easier to pull the trigger.

The Nexus 4 release has been a mess since the beginning. All across the globe, people tried to get their order in on launch day, and, well, they couldn't. Most who tried were left waiting until Google put them back on sale. That time has already come and gone for the U.S., where the second-coming of Google's newest flagship went about as smoothly as the first (read: not very). Even when sales first went live, the device had a "ships in 1-2 weeks" status, which got longer and longer as the day went on.

predators

A few weeks ago, I lamented on the fact that I can't have a pet Predator because he'd likely violently remove my throat for no good reason. I like my throat, so instead I've chosen to just play the Predator game for Android. And now you can join in on the fun for $2 less than you could've yesterday, or the days/weeks before that.

Originally $2.99, the game is now on sale for $0.99.
