The 2nd generation Moto X is one of the best smartphones running stock Android. Motorola usually wants $500 for a 16GB off-contract model, but today it's throwing you a bone. For the next 24 hours, that starting price is dropping to $350. Not only that, you can bump up to 32GB for free, and 64GB will set you back just $25.
This sale only applies to Motorola's website. Fortunately, that means you can still customize until your heart's content. Read More
Happy Monday AP readers! What's this, you're not happy!? A bad case of the Monday blues? Well, had you been listening to some sweet tunes this morning while you were getting ready for work, you might be in a better mood now. Read More
Samsung's first aluminum clad smartphone, the Galaxy Alpha, launched last fall on AT&T ushering in a new, more premium design language for Samsung. The phone was well liked by Ryan Whitwam in his review, but the big sticking point was the asking price, which initially was over $600 on AT&T. A few months have passed since the launch of the device, and the cost has fallen substantially. The price is now low enough to perhaps justify another look for those who can't bring themselves to shell out a $7-800 for the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. Read More
I'm no professional DJ, but I know a guy. I could pretend that makes me in some way qualified to evaluate a piece of software intended for people like him, but I usually tune out whenever he starts talking specifics about work. Hey, it doesn't matter how cool your job is. Work is work.
Getting to the point, DJiT has released a music mixer intended for professional DJs. The app, edjing Pro, was apparently designed by DJs themselves to place a direct emphasis on mixing. Read More
If you need a big external battery for traveling, camping, or to have around in case of an emergency, then listen up. Amazon has the Omaker 15600mAh Portable Charger Power Bank (and that's the abbreviated version of the product name, whew) with dual 2.1A output USB ports on sale today for $22.99 after applying a coupon code. That's a whole lot of mAh's for not a lot of money.
As far as power banks go, the Omaker is a pretty handsome device. Read More
Ok, I am going to keep this brief because I don't expect this deal to last long. In preparation for the imminent release of new Samsung tablets, Best Buy has the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" 16GB LTE tablet at closeout prices. They are available with either AT&T or Verizon antennas for just $279.99. That's a staggering 220 bucks off retail and 20 dollars less than the Wi-Fi only model on Amazon (which was already a good deal). Read More
If you have been on the fence about whether or not to purchase Google's latest tablet, the Nexus 9, Best Buy may have made your decision a little easier. For the next two days, the blue box store is discounting the price of the 16GB model by $75, bringing the price down to a more reasonable $325. The verdict is still out among Android Police staff on whether or not this is a great tablet, but a lower price might make up for some of its warts. Read More
It's no mystery HTC is preparing to announce its latest flagship the One M9 in just a couple of weeks. Naturally, it's time to clear out some inventory space to make way for new products, and that means cutting prices. HTC Hot Deals is running a weekend-long sale on the RE Camera, the One M8, and a selection of custom cases.
We've seen some better deals (for $300, and $350) on the One M8 in the last month, but they've been limited to the AT&T model, and only available as refurbs. Read More
With all the limited promotions, holiday sales, and convoluted pre-order schemes, you'd think that OnePlus would get it freakin' over with and just sell the flagship One phone directly to consumers already. And they will... for just one day. Considerably less than one day, in fact, since the promotion will actually only be available for two hours, 7-9PM Eastern Standard Time. That's in North America - in Europe it will go on sale at 7-9PM Greenwich Mean Time, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan it goes on sale from 7-9PM Hong Kong Time (presumably tomorrow, since it's already passed for the 20th). Most portable external batteries make it easy to charge up a phone or tablet when your power runs low, but what about a computer? The ChargeAll can do both, and it has really excellent reviews on Amazon. The only problem is the price, but TouchOfModern has the ChargeAll heavily discounted if you don't mind waiting.
