Home security cameras are great, made all the better when there's a great app to control them with. Accordingly, tinyCam Monitor has just had a major update to version 7.4, with some big features surrounding the cloud in tow.
The talking point here is definitely 24/7 cloud recording. This means that the recordings, which will now take place continuously, will be uploaded to the cloud, and when the quota of 500MB is exceeded, the oldest JPEGs uploaded will be deleted to make way for new footage. Read More
Very few, if any, OEMS do budget flagships better than OnePlus, and the new 3T continues the company's trend of offering a lot of powerful hardware for not a lot of money. Ryan recently reviewed the 3T and found it to be a small improvement over the 3, which was already a fantastic phone. Now, if you live in North America, you can order one of your very own. Read More
The Google Home connected speaker has not been out very long, but it looks like it will be on a Black Friday sale regardless. Starting Wednesday, November 23, the Home will be $99 for a limited time. This makes it even more tempting and almost too good to pass up. Read More
If you've bought a new Android device in the past six months, chances are pretty good that it charges via USB Type-C. There are some nice advantages to the new charging standard (that I wish was more standardized) but there is also one fairly large disadvantage. USB Type-C cords cost a lot more than their MicroUSB brethren.
That is, if you pay the full price for them. If you pick them up on sale, prices are a bit more tolerable. Today I've got three codes to share with you guys for three different two packs of USB Type-C to Type-A cables. Read More
Wireless headphones are getting a lot of attention these days in light of a certain phone manufacture's 'brave' decision to remove headphone jacks, but a good wired set of buds can often be found at much lower prices. Such is the case today with the Bose SoundSport In-Ear Headphones which are on sale for just $40 right now at Best Buy. With an MSRP of $99 and a street price of around $90, that's a killer deal on a very well-reviewed set of earbuds. In fact, it's less than a third of the price of these headphone's wireless counterpart. Read More
The Nextbit Robin is one of the few crowdfunded smartphones that have actually shipped. After being released earlier this year, we gave it solid marks for its dual front-facing speakers and design. Now you can grab your very own Nextbit Robin for only $169.99, a whopping $130 off the $300 MSRP (and $30 off the normal Amazon price). Read More
Chinese manufacturer LeEco made a splash with its US debut, even if it wasn't a particularly promising one. Today it has its sights set squarely on the mid-range market with $100 discounts on both of the debut American phones: the Le S3 and Le Pro3. (And yes, after penning down an initial writeup for the latter, I am LeTired of this LeNaming scheme.) That brings the pricing down to just $149 and $299, respectively, assuming you can snag one of the phones once the sale starts at 10 AM Pacific time. Read More
The Fossil Q is a little over a year old at this point, and is notable for being the first Android Wear watch from a well-known mechanical watch maker. It features a 360x326 round display (unfortunately with a flat tire), an Intel Atom CPU, IP67 water protection, and a 400mAh battery.
Now you can snag a Fossil Q Founder for $189.99 on Amazon, a decent drop from the $275 MSRP. Not a bad deal, although I'm not sure if I would get it over the Huawei Watch with its frequent price drops. Still, if you're looking for a shiny new Android Wear device from an actual watch company, this is a good option. Read More
Sony, for a couple of years, was my very favorite smartphone manufacturer. The Z3 was, in my opinion, the best smartphone of its generation. I have since moved on to a Nexus 6P, but my wife still uses my old Z3 and I still miss its epic battery life and water resistance.
The Japanese manufacturer has hit a bit of a rough patch the last couple of years, but they are still cranking out phones, and I'd wager some of you readers are still on team Sony, lusting after their hardware.
If that's the case, then you really should check out the sale going on over at Amazon today. Read More
The Huawei Watch is generally regarded as one of the best AW watches currently available, but it usually commands a high price tag. Although the MSRP was originally $499, most models have lowered in price since release. At least one of the versions, the Gold/Sapphire model, has finally dropped under $200. Read More
