We've talked about AIDE, the mobile developer toolkit that allows you to write Android apps (almost) entirely on your phone or tablet. In those past discussions, we've mentioned that you can probably get by with just the free version. The premium key offers a few nice extra features, though, like APK publishing, Git push/commit, and saving large project files.
Most of the features of the premium version are handy if you want to code entirely on your mobile devices which, admittedly, most of you probably won't want to do. Read More
Tis the season, Android shoppers. Today there's a cavalcade of games from a variety of developers on sale in the Google Play Store, as well as some of Loud Crow's interactive books for children. Amazon's Gold Box deals are some of my favorite discounts to check out every morning. In fact, outside of the Gold Box, the only other deal destinations I regularly visit are Amazon-owned MyHabit and TouchOfModern, a site full of inspiration and ultramodernism.
But back to the deal. If you've been eying Amazon's latest Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet (remember all those holidays that are coming at us fast?), today's Gold Box deal of the day should most definitely make it easier to pull the trigger. Read More
The Nexus 4 release has been a mess since the beginning. All across the globe, people tried to get their order in on launch day, and, well, they couldn't. Most who tried were left waiting until Google put them back on sale. That time has already come and gone for the U.S., where the second-coming of Google's newest flagship went about as smoothly as the first (read: not very). Even when sales first went live, the device had a "ships in 1-2 weeks" status, which got longer and longer as the day went on. Read More
A few weeks ago, I lamented on the fact that I can't have a pet Predator because he'd likely violently remove my throat for no good reason. I like my throat, so instead I've chosen to just play the Predator game for Android. And now you can join in on the fun for $2 less than you could've yesterday, or the days/weeks before that.
Originally $2.99, the game is now on sale for $0.99. Read More
Update: Google says the Nexus 4 isn't sold out, but that the Play Store is just being inundated with demand. Here's what we're seeing on the Nexus 4 page right now:
Google Play is currently experiencing very high traffic. Nexus 4 is not sold out and will still be available for purchase. Please try again shortly. Thank you for your patience.
It's no secret that Google didn't handle the Nexus 4 launch as well as it should have. Read More

It's been a couple months in coming, but the first in an episodic series of Avengers games is live on the Play Store now. In case you've forgotten, this edition features the Hulk, leading the effort to round up a number of supervillains that escaped during a breakout of The Vault. To celebrate the launch, Marvel and NVIDIA are offering the game for a special promo price of $4.99 (normally $6.99). Read More

Thanksgiving isn't just about turkey and mashed potatoes (sorry, I had to), it's also about snapping up deals on the things you've been waiting all year to buy, or the things you've yet to cross off your holiday shopping list.
Sprint, in a newsroom post earlier today, announced that it would be sharing "the gift of 'Unlimited' for the holiday shopping season," revealing a few nice deals customers can take advantage of between Thanksgiving and "Cyber Monday." Read More
