If your new year's resolution is to kill more time playing games on your Android device (that's mine, anyway), then Gameloft is all ready to give you the hookup beginning on December 29th, when all of their games will be dropped down to mere $0.99 in the Market. The one exclusion to this deal is Modern Combat 3 - it will, however, go on sale for one day (though they didn't mention the price).
For anyone holding out on buying the HTC EVO View 4G on Sprint, the opportune moment just arrived. Over at eBay's Daily Deals site, the View 4G is going for a mere $240 with no contract - a solid $160 off the current Sprint price (it doesn't even look like you can get it without a 2-year contract from Sprint).
Duke Nukem 3D, the good ol'-fashioned 1991-style Android FPS, is quite the game: sure, the plot is focused on invasion by sex-crazed aliens, but as the developers themselves said in the app's Market description, "that's what makes it fun!"
And for the next two days, the game is completely free, down from $0.99! Of course, if you want to try out episodes 2 and 3, you'll still have to cough up an additional $0.99 a pop - but still, it's not a bad deal considering the game's rather impressive quality.
Tired of your lackluster music collection? El Goog is here to you help you remedy that with a huge sale on millions of tracks for just $0.49 in the Android Market. Buying single tracks not your style? No worries, most albums are going for a mere $4.99, too.
I searched through the Market for a few of my favorite artists - some popular, some obscure - just to see if I could find something going for more than $0.49 per track or $4.99 per album.
Owners of Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet have a great chance to expand their gaming portfolio right now thanks to Gameloft. One of the most popular game developers for Android is offering a handful of games for just $0.99 in the Amazon Appstore, most of them special Kindle Fire editions.
Among the discounted titles are Order & Chaos, Block Breaker 3 Unlimited, UNO, and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. Those who don't own a Kindle Fire can still get Hero of Sparta HD or Shadow Guardian HD at a deeply discounted price.
This is part 2 of this weekend's poll; for part 1, please see How Many Apps Did You Purchase During The Market "10 Billion Promo?"
As promised, we have a second question regarding the recently over 10-day $0.10 "10 Billion Promo" sale, inspired by numerous comments on the sale posts and via Google+/Twitter/Facebook.
With the 10-day $0.10 "10 Billion Promo" sale on the Android Market now over, we have two questions to ask you. The first we'll ask today, in part 1 of this weekend's two-part weekend poll, and the second we'll ask tomorrow. Rather simply, how many apps (including games) did you purchase during the sale?
Well, it's finally here – Verizon's variant of the hotly anticipated Galaxy Nexus is available at last, going live with a variety of online retailers just moments ago.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the awesome 10 Billion Apps promo, sadly, reached its final day. I wish it could go on forever and become a regular thing, at least with one app a day - how about it, Google?
