The HTC Holiday has been somewhat elusive up until now, but 911sniper has gotten ahold of a leaked ROM that, if legit, shows some absolutely beastly specs for this upcoming AT&T monster. Check it out:

spectshot

Here's the simple breakdown:

  • 4.5 Inch qHD 960x540 display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • 802.11 b/g/n WiFi

If the actual device holds true to these specs (and I see no reason why it wouldn't), then this is definitely a piece of hardware to watch for. With specs like that, it's likely to scorch everything on the market.

It looks like truth may just mirror fiction. Either that or the Android Police team has some scary psychic powers (although some may call it intuition). According to Android And Me's latest rumor, Amazon is indeed set to dip their toes into the waters of the Android device market. Multiple tipsters within the industry have informed them that Amazon is working on an "entire family" of Android devices slates for a holiday 2011 arrival. It seems safe to say that "entire family" can be interpreted as a phone and a number of different sized tablets.

This isn't very surprising, as Amazon has been a major player in e-readers for a long time, and there have been previous rumors of "iPad competitors" coming out of Amazon HQ since September of last year.

A few days ago, the Chinese HTC blog 911sniper that most HTC ROM leaks originate from posted images and a minimal amount of information on HTC's 2 newest and mysterious devices: the Rider and the Kingdom. Not much was known about either, except that the Kingdom has a qHD (540x960px) resolution.

Today, 911sniper gave birth to an actual ROM of the Kingdom, which cleared up quite a few things to us.

Update: Porting of this ROM to the Desire HD is already in progress.

Update: Looks like it is indeed a whole new device - it's got a smaller, 4" screen, compared to EVO's 4.3" and is possibly a world device.

I'm a sucker for a good rumor, and I just can't pass up sharing this one with all of you. According to TmoNews, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II might be landing on T-Mobile. How this information came about, however, does make me a little skeptical (I said I'm a sucker for a good rumor, not that I believe every one that comes along).

The above image was taken from Adobe's website, and it appears to show a Galaxy S II on the T-Mo website. This has to be the real deal, too, because no one ever makes Photoshop errors, right?

The Google I/O rumor mill has been surprisingly calm this year - certainly calmer than it was last year, that's for sure. But a recent tweet from @MAFiA303, who reportedly "works with Samsung," changes that completely - have a look for yourself:

Frankly, we were expecting to see more than a new iteration of Gingerbread at I/O, but hey - we'll take what we can get, and video chat is a seriously hot addition to mobile Gmail (especially given that "impressive quality" statement). And this is Google we're talking about, so expect a curveball - who can wait to see what surprises Andy and co.

We heard about Lenovo's Honeycomb-sporting ThinkPad (aka Think Slate) tablet yesterday, but I guess that just wasn't enough rumor coverage for Lenovo. In the same PowerPoint where they found the info on the ThinkPad, tech blog This Is My Next has also stumbled across a 7-inch Honeycomb tablet that could possibly come out sometime in Q4. While there is little known at this point, here are the (rather vague) details from the leak:

  • 7 Inch, 1280x800 display
  • Dual Core ARM processor
  • "Le OS / Honeycomb" Android with Lenovo UI
  • Available Q4 2011

It looks like it should have the same custom interface as the ThinkPad, which we don't really have a lot of information on.

Update: It looks like the homescreen is just a generic placeholder, because it's the same one used here for the Optimus V at Best Buy. Thanks Nate!

This may not be of interest to the 7 people out there that actually like Motorola's Blur interface, but for the rest of us this is pretty good news. It looks like Motorola is prepping a new DROID-esque Android 2.2 device for Virgin Mobile USA, and it appears to be sans-Blur in the one leaked picture that Pocketnow has obtained.

With that said, it looks like the device may still be running some sort of a custom interface, judging by the three-column homescreen grid, which is not currently possible with stock Froyo's four-column launcher.

Last month, AT&T confirmed that an HSUPA-enabling update was in the works for the Motorola ATRIX 4G and was expected to hit sometime in April. Well... April is here and guess what? It looks like they may actually deliver on that promise.

nate2569, a user over at the XDA forums, received not one, but two mysterious updates on his ATRIX yesterday evening. The first one was a software update to bring the system up to version 1.75 and there was some initial confusion, so nate2569 uploaded a picture displaying some of the "About Phone" contents for proof. Have a look:

If there's one thing we still don't know for sure about the Toshiba Android tablet, it's its name. At this year's CES, when the product was first announced and demoed, Toshiba refused to give up the name, simply referring to it as "the unnamed Toshiba tablet." The company then followed up with the site named just TheToshibaTablet.com, leaving us guessing and puzzled as to why it takes months to give a gadget a name. Then came guesses - Antares and ANT were both considerations, but it now seems like both were actually wrong (or rather, could be internal names) and the real name of the tablet will be...

We've heard rumors that the sequel to the hugely popular HTC Droid Incredible would be hitting VZW stores on April 28th, and it looks like that date may well be the real deal. This morning, an app showcasing the Droid Incredible 2 landed in the Market, and much like the showcase app for the ThunderBolt, its sole purpose is for VZW employees to highlight tech specs.

ss-0-320-480-160-0-0771194c9c3b47c8eec0fda70dc58e2ef0b0c83f ss-1-320-480-160-0-3b36b6977a8f30b9e53f6c86a1d4f38fa5806102

Of course, all this really does is put us one step closer to a confirmed release date, so there's no reason I would suggest installing it. But if you really want it for some reason, then you can grab it from the Android Market.
