What is the meaning of life? I'm sure an engineer, an artist, and a banker would all come up with different answers to this question, but as any nerd would know, all that matters is leveling up and acquiring gold. This fundamental premise has formed the backbone of RPGs since the first pixelated knight took up his sword, and the reason is simple - it speaks to human nature, a part that we should embrace head on.

Do you find you can't get things done? If you are king of the procrastinators, ruling over a realm of incomplete tasks, HabitRPG might be for you. This app is basically a to-do list manager, but it frames everything as a quest in your own personal RPG.

If you finish something successfully, you get experience and gold. Why would you need gold? To get better weapons and armor, obviously.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Today we've got a mobilized, social-savvy real-time strategy game, yet another minimal puzzler, and an unapologetically old-school RPG.

Joss Whedon fans, you might want to go grab some duct tape. Got it? Now roll about eight feet of it around your head, just in case it explodes with shiny rainbows at this next bit of news: there's an official Firefly game coming to Android. Not a fan project. Not some promotional minigame. A real title based on the cult classic sci-fi TV show and movie. That sound you're hearing now is a million Browncoats shouting with unrestrained glee.

The Lone Ranger has been a real flop for Disney thus far, and I'm sure I know why. The company was late to debut an Android game to coincide with the release. Many of this summer's other successful blockbusters - Man of Steel, Monsters University, and Despicable Me 2 - all had games that predated or matched their theater debuts. While this form of marketing has never had any effect on me, it's apparently what the masses want, and Disney has since resolved the issue.

After a day filled with Android-flavored excitement (Google Edition phones!), disappointment (they're not really Google Edition phones, and SHIELD is late at the gate), and all points in between, it's time to kick back with some sweet app and game sales. Because no matter how good or bad your day was, saving money is never a let-down. Let's get right to it, shall we?

Nintendo DS games making their way to the Play Store? I could get used to this. Publisher UbiSoft and port developer Tag Games have just released Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, a 2009 entry in the venerable Might & Magic RPG series originally made for the DS. It's been re-released as a downloadable title on the Xbox, Playstation, PC, and (of course) iOS, but this one only took five months to jump ship to Android, so let's not hold too much of a grudge.

If you have $15 to spare and a love of serious RPG's, Square Enix has your number. Drakerider has just arrived in Google Play, and this isn't a port of a console game. It's a new experience designed specifically for touchscreens.

In Drakerider you ride around on a dragon completing tasks and doing battle. The fighting system is a little different than most RPGs. You keep control of your dragon mount with the reins when you need more control, but ease up to allow it to attack enemies.
