There have been rumors recently that LG's G Watch might be the focus of Google I/O's Android Wear discussion, with the nascent device possibly being handed out to attendees. Whether Moto's watch, the Moto 360, would make an appearance has remained unclear. Until today though, those were the only two Android Wear devices even rumored for I/O cameos.
Cnet has reported, however, that Samsung will (according to sources) be throwing its hat into the Android Wear ring at I/O as well, debuting an Android Wear smartwatch of its own. Read More
OnePlus has been dolling out news about its upcoming CyanognMod-powered One phone (not to be confused with the other One making headlines today) at an incredibly slow and frustrating pace. But it looks like the drip feed may finally be stopping, or at the very least, it won't have much longer to run. An official OnePlus forum post has announced that "On April 23, the OnePlus One will be fully unveiled."
Given the company's frankly spammy method of teasing pre-release information, we half expected OnePlus to announce the month one week, the week, the next, and the day a week after that. Read More
Besides taking a look at the Galaxy Gear here at IFA 2013, we also got the chance to play around with Samsung's new lineup of Note devices, namely the Note 3 and the Note 10.1 2014 edition.
Ignoring for a moment the devices' form factors, they share a lot of similarities and, in fact, share just about everything software-wise. Curiosity, which we deemed "the most absurd, ambiguous, and tedious game of all time" at its launch, was a game with a simple premise: tap on your screen forever, until a huge, huge cube finally dissolves into nothing. Players were aided in this quest by other players and various powerups.
Today, it was announced that the game has ended, and the winner, who was promised a "life changing" revelation at the end of it all, has received just that. Read More
UPDATE 3: EVLeaks has now rescinded his previous statements.
While we don't appreciate the manner in which EVLeaks (and others) initially approached this situation with conspiracy theories, baseless accusations, and speculation, we appreciate EVLeaks' withdrawal of previous comments, and our readers' support through the entire episode. Read More
Remember last month when we finally saw a press shot of the fabled Motorola Dinara? Well, it looks like the device has come to reality as the ATRIX HD. Discovered earlier this evening, an official Motorola landing page gives us all the juicy details on the device, many of which we saw coming from the first rumors.
Maintaining Moto's recent design language, the device sports a carbon-fiber backing and a slight chin up top where the camera lives. Read More
We've been hearing about the Nexus Prime for months now, but things have really been heating up in the past week or so: first, Samsung released an official teaser trailer about the event and gave us a glimpse of the device's side profile. And yesterday, we had two conflicting sets of specs "leak out" (though obviously neither was confirmed). Finally, the official AndroidDevelopers YouTube account put up a video called "Android ICS Launch," set to stream during the Samsung Unpacked event in which the Prime and ICS were set to be revealed.
