Archos Announces 80 G9 and 101 G9: 250GB Of Storage And 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor In A Honeycomb Shell

When it comes to Android tablets, we've become accustomed to seeing near-identical specs for each one: 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16/32GB of storage. While those specs are still pretty awesome, Archos is looking to change the game completely with its newly announced 80 G9 and 101 G9 tablets. If you haven't already guessed, the biggest difference between the two tabs is the screen size, with the former offering 8 inches at 1024x768, and the latter with the more common 10.1-inch 1280x800 display.

Hulu Plus Finally Available In The Android Market For Select Few Models, Download Away If You Can

Hulu, one of the top TV and movie streaming sites on the web, has long been an elusive target for Android users. At first, we didn't have Flash. Once we got Flash, Hulu started blocking Flash-enabled Android devices. Many hacks followed, but required modifications to the Flash apk and resulted in less than optimal viewing experience in the browser. In January, we finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel, when the upcoming official application was finally revealed, though without any promises on delivery timelines.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Coming To Sprint On June 24th... But It's Wi-Fi Only

Even though Sprint has yet to get a Honeycomb tablet that actually runs on its network, that hasn't stopped it from at least trying to sell some new-tablet-tech. Just like with the Motorola XOOM, the Now Network has opted to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 void of any 3/4G connectivity, and instead will be offering the Wi-Fi only version.

The 10.1 inch, 16GB, Tegra 2-packing Tab will hit Sprint's online store on June 24th for $500, and arrive in retail stores exactly one month later for the same price.

The New Samsung Galaxy Tab Seven Is Coming This Fall, Will Run Gingerbread - Wait, What? Seriously?

CrunchGear is reporting that the Italian site HDblog has received exclusive details on Samsung's least-publicized new tablet product: the Galaxy Tab Seven (aka, the Galaxy Tab 2). The Seven will be the successor to the wildly unpopular Galaxy Tab, which debuted last fall to almost universally poor reviews (though our own Aaron Gingrich thoroughly enjoyed it). The Galaxy Tab was the first major-manufacturer Android tablet, and it seems based on the new tablet's specifications, Samsung learned a lot from the Tab's less-than-successful run.

[Rumor] The Next Nexus Phone: The Nexus 4G - LTE, 720p Display, Dual Core, No Function Buttons?

Take this with a massive grain of salt, but BGR has just let loose an article detailing what they claim will be either the next Nexus phone or, if not a Nexus, simply the new Android reference handset. Far more exciting than that is what BGR's source has told them what kind of features the phone will be packing:

  • A 720p "monster-sized" display - exact size unknown (also, goodbye qHD - nice knowing you)
  • Dual-core processor @1.2 or 1.5GHz (either a TI OMAP 4460 or a ULP Qualcomm 28nm Krait Snapdragon)
  • Android Ice Cream Sandwich (possibly dubbed Android 4.0)
  • Software function buttons (ala Honeycomb - no more capacitive touch)
  • 4G LTE (yes, yes, yes!)
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP rear camera w/1080p video, 1MP front camera
  • Release around Thanksgiving

Unfortunately, several big questions remain unanswered.

T-Mobile Just Released A Pretty Cool Daily Deal App, "More For Me" - Though We're Not Sure Why, Exactly

Update: Don't install this app until it gets an update - it will turn your GPS on every 10 seconds to update your location info, and won't stop unless you Force Stop it from the Manage Applications screen. It was at 68% on my phone's battery usage menu after 6 hours of doing little with my phone aside from checking e-mail sporadically. Yuck.

Have you ever wanted an app that aggregates your favorite daily deal and special offer services into a single, location-based list?

Samsung Exhibits The Exhibit 4G's Source Code, We Try Hard To Not Make a 'Yo Dawg' Joke

It seems like Samsung was releasing source code on a daily basis there for a while, but it has been relatively quiet over the past couple of weeks in that area. Today, though, the Sammy crew dropped the source code for the upcoming Exhibit 4G, which is set to land on T-Mobile sometime this month.

As it turns out, we just couldn't resist the joke after all.

If you're aching to crack this code open, you can grab it from Samsung's Open Source Developers Center.
