The revitalized Google Pay isn't everyone's cup of tea. But if there's one thing that'll get you to try something new, it's free money. Google hasn't shied away from straight-up paying people to use its service before, and it looks like at least some users will get another chance to cash in. A new promotion is offering $15 in Pay credit to those who sign up a new user via a referral link, with a bonus $5 going to the newbie. That's $10 over the standard promotional rate for you.

While plenty of us are looking forward to the end of 2020, we shouldn't be rushing its demise along — especially as Google Pay reboots itself with a newly-written application and a hankering to get people migrated over. So, the company's popping the ante up with big, fat referrals and a cashback offer from Target.

Brave Browser is undeniably a commercial product first, and a privacy-centric web browser second. While the browser does have quite a few improvements to privacy compared to stock Chrome, it's designed to promote the use of a cryptocurrency (BAT) that Brave itself owns, and it has a referral program that pays browser users by how many people they can get to download Brave. Now the browser has been caught injecting its own affiliate codes into web addresses for popular cryptocurrency trading websites.

A new version of Google Duo is began rolling out earlier today. It doesn't look like any new features have gone live with this update, nor does it appear to restore the screen sharing feature that was briefly enabled a couple months ago. However, there are some new things to look forward to in the future, including what is likely a pause button for video chats and a reward system for inviting friends to use Duo.

It's been almost three months since Android Pay was replaced by Google Pay, but the new name still sounds so foreign. In an attempt to alleviate that and introduce more users, Google is running a promotion in which you and someone you refer both get $10 in Play credit once the referred party makes a purchase. Bear in mind that this promo is still running (and ends at the same time).

Google's MVNO carrier, Project Fi, has done a few referral programs in the past. This time, Fi has announced a 'Fi it Forward' challenge, giving subscribers the chance to win a Chromecast or Android One Moto X4.

Google's Project Fi has always been about saving money, as long as you don't consume a lot of data. Now Project Fi customers can "Share the Fi Love" with a new referral credit, accessible via the carrier's website. For each new Fi subscriber that uses the referral code, both the new subscriber and the original subscriber get a $20 Fi credit.
