ClockworkMod Touch Recoveries Now Out For All Flavors Of Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G; Motorola Cliq; LG Optimus Black, 2X, 3D; HTC Rezound, G2, MT4G

The work to bring touch-enabled recoveries to all supported ClockworkMod devices continues, and since the last update a couple of days ago, the following devices now have ClockworkMod Touch available:

  • Non-US Samsung Galaxy S II
  • Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
  • AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II
  • T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II
  • Samsung Epic 4G (looks like this one disappeared shortly after due to some bugs)
  • Motorola Cliq
  • LG Optimus Black
  • LG Optimus 2X
  • LG Optimus 3D
  • HTC Rezound

  • HTC MyTouch 4G

[Updated] Koush Adds ClockworkMod Touch Recovery Support To HTC EVO 4G, EVO 3D, Desire, Desire HD, Sensation, Thunderbolt; Motorola Atrix 4G

Koushik Dutta, the mastermind behind ClockworkMod recoveries and other goodies, has been hard at work today after releasing the initial beta versions of the new Touch iteration of CWM for the Nexuses. "What was he doing?" you may ask. Adding support for more devices, one by one. They are, as of this moment:

  • HTC EVO 4G
  • HTC EVO 3D (CDMA/GSM)
  • HTC Desire GSM
  • HTC Desire HD
  • HTC Sensation
  • Update #1: HTC Thunderbolt added
  • Motorola Atrix 4G
  • and, of course, Galaxy Nexus (CDMA/GSM) and Nexus S/S4G that we already knew about

[Updated x2: Now In ROM Manager As Of 5.0.0.0] Download: ClockworkMod Touch Recovery Beta Now Available For Galaxy Nexus And Nexus S/S4G

After Koush tantalized users with a video showing off the first official touch-based ClockworkMod Recovery interface two days ago, CWM has taken to Google+ and posted download links for the official beta, making CWM Touch Recovery available to Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S users.

Update #1: Nexus S 4G now supported.

Update #2: According to Koush, the newest ROM Manager update that is being rolled out now has a new option to download ClockworkMod Touch for supported devices as an in-app purchase (or for free at http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager).

Koush Teases ClockworkMod Recovery Touch, Won't Let You Download It Yet

Touchscreen recoveries are all the rage these days. From TeamWin's TWRP, to unofficial variants of everyone's favorite, ClockworkMod Recovery. This morning, though, Koush himself took to Google+ to tease his very own blend of touchscreen controls for the recovery running on millions of devices.

While there's no release available for download yet, the work already looks promising. All the swiping, tapping, and touching we've all grown so used to is there.

TeamWin Releases TWRP 2.0, A Highly Customizable Touchscreen Recovery

TeamWin, the developers who originally developed CyanogenMod's WiMax compatibility, have been working on TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) for a while now, and have just released the second iteration of the custom recovery.

TWRP 2.0's most notable new feature is without a doubt its touchscreen-centric GUI -- while this isn't a first, it certainly is extremely convenient: gone are the days of "scrolling" through lists with super-stiff volume buttons and selecting items with a click of the power button; with TWRP 2.0 you can simply tap and be there!

[New App] Undelete Beta Promises To Recover Deleted Files From Your Device's SD Card (For Root Users)

Fahrbot Mobile, the developer that brought us Screenshot ER, Root Call Blocker, Call Master, and a handful of other useful apps, recently released Undelete Beta to the Android Market, an app that promises to help find – and recover – files deleted from your SD card.

The app will quickly scan the contents of your SD card and detect deleted items that may be eligible for restoration. While this sounds like a super handy app, the developer warns that – as with any recovery solution – users shouldn't expect a 100% success rate.

Download: Leaked Galaxy Nexus Full System Dump (ICL23D), Recovery, And Boot Images

I'm surprised this didn't come sooner, but better late than never, right? The full Galaxy Nexus (presumably GSM) system dump, together with boot and recovery images were leaked earlier today by none other than Paul O'Brien, the founder of MoDaCo, a talented developer, and creator of many custom ROMs. If you remember, previously only the apps as well as certain bits and pieces of Ice Cream Sandwich were made available for download.

Samsung Epic 4G Touch Rooted And Running ClockworkMod Recovery

It has only been a  couple of days since Samsung released the source code for the Epic 4G Touch and it looks like the device has already been rooted. Developers Shabbypenguin and Tanimn of Android Creative Syndicate (ACS) have released a pre-rooted tar file and instructions (XDA link) on how to root the shiny new phone. Similarly, XDA member zedomax has also released his method of rooting the device.
