It used to be that Amazon only sold books, and when it comes to selling books, there's not much of a market for people buying the same book twice. Today, on the other hand, Amazon is the king of online shopping, and there's not much that they don't sell. Due to the economies of scale, Amazon can offer some things for a lower cost than its brick-and-mortar competitors. Things like paper towels, laundry detergent, and Hershey's Kisses. And when you need to re-up on the necessities of life, Amazon has a few ways to make it easier to repurchase something you bought before.
Most people rely on user reviews to skim through the thousands and thousands of products in Amazon search results. Those reviews play a vital role in purchase decisions, especially when dealing with an unfamiliar seller or unknown product. But what if all those five star reviews aren’t real, or legitimate reviews are being squelched by an unethical competitor?
Prime Day 2021 is almost over, but that doesn't mean the deals have dried up completely — there's still a few hours to save big on all kinds of tech goodies. Here are 15 of our favorite deals you can still score right now.
Amazon's big event is drawing to a close, but there are still plenty of bargains available through the end of the day. Here are our 100(-ish) favorite deals from Prime Day 2021.
Prime members are getting paid to try unlimited Amazon Photos backups
If you consider $15 off a future $30 Amazon purchase being 'paid'
Amazon has been incentivizing Prime members to use Amazon Photos as their cloud storage service of choice with occasionally offering gifts of on-site credit when they upload their first picture or video. The company is taking this Prime Day (and the week following) to push another promo, offering $15 if you download the Amazon Photos app and give it a try.Google Photos discontinued free storage for lightly-compressed photos and videos at the start of the month, so it's fairly smart of Amazon to gin up some help for its service which allows unlimited full-resolution still backups — there's a 5GB cap on video which can be expanded with a subscription fee. There are plenty of smart cases to be made for Google, but if you need raw storage and have Prime, there's no beating this.Remember, this offer is for first-time Amazon Photos users only and media must be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. PDT on June 30. Within 7 days, customers will receive a $15 credit on an Amazon cart worth at least $30 containing products that are sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC. Even if an item from a third party is being "fulfilled by Amazon.com" or is "Prime Eligible," they will not count towards the threshold. The credit must be redeemed by the end of the day July 15.Amazon might have already sent you an email about this offer if you're eligible, but if you tend to ignore those messages or even have them to skip over to spam, you can check this page to see if you're eligible.
We're in the final hours of Prime Day now, but there's still plenty of deals to be had. If you've been in the market for a tablet — and yesterday's deals on the iPad Air didn't do it for you — there's time left to pick up some new gear. A vast selection of Samsung's tablets and accessories are on sale at Amazon, including the Tab S7 and S7+.If you're looking for our favorite of the bunch, the Tab S7 is the way to go. Though it doesn't have the AMOLED display of its big brother, at $485, it's an unbeatable value. It features a fantastic 11" 120Hz display (ignore the "12.4-inch" in the product description below — Amazon is pulling from the S7+ listing), quad speakers, and an included S Pen for taking notes on the go. If you're after extra storage, the 256GB version is $527, and the 512GB model can be yours for $595.

The Fitbit Sense, Inspire 2, and Ace 2 all have dramatic discounts
Among Amazon's smorgasbord of Prime Day deals, a wide swath of Fitbit's wearable devices are on sale. Elsewhere in the Fitbit line you can pick up an Inspire 2 tracker for $56.99 ($33 off) or the kid-friendly Fitbit Ace 2 for just $29.99 (a whopping $40 off). These come in a variety of band colors, sadly lacking the Minions flavor that was recently revealed. It's worth noting that, technically, this is the rare case of Amazon showing deals on Google-branded hardware, since Google purchased Fitbit lock, stock, and barrel. So if you're looking for fitness hardware with a bit of "future-proof" reliability, you might hesitate before pulling the trigger.Buy: Amazon

Amazon's annual Prime Day sale faced multiple delays last year, with the event bumped from its usual summer spot all the way into October. Fortunately, you don't have to wait much longer to take advantage of some big savings. After months of rumors, Amazon has finally confirmed Prime Day will run from June 21st to June 22nd, a little earlier than its usual July date.Amazon is promising deals across all its categories, including electronics, automotive, fashion, home goods, and more. While it might be (far) too early to start on any holiday shopping, if you've been feeling the itch to splurge on yourself, Prime Day is as good a time as any.Faced with some growing backlash over its dominance in the world of commerce, Amazon is heavily promoting its small business promotion this year. Between June 7th and June 21st, if you spend $10 with a small business seller, you'll get a $10 credit to use on Prime Day. Echo users can also ask Alexa to "shop small business" to help discover eligible products. Amazon held a similar promotion last fall, though the number of included sellers has more than doubled this year. Some early deals have already gone live in the run-up to Prime Day, including sales on JBL headphones, a bunch of TVs running Fire OS, and more. Amazon Gaming is also giving away a free copy of Battlefield 4 for PC between today and June 20th, so if you've been looking for something new to play, don't miss out on that redemption code.As always, you'll need to be a Prime member to take advantage of these deals. The event takes place in the US, the UK, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Australia. The best deals kick off at midnight PDT on June 21st.
