The recently-announced HTC myTouch 4G Slide that's set to land on T-Mobile's HSPA+ network sometime this month has already fallen victim to Wirefly's crazy price-slashing mania that they company is so well known for. Right now, you can pre-order the myTouch 4G Slide for $150, which is $50 less than Team Magenta is selling the handset for.
The myTouch 4G Slide is HTC's latest entry into the 'superphone' market, with some pretty impressive specs:
- 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 3.7" SLCD 800 x 480 display
- 768MB RAM
- 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash
- 1080p video capture
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- HSPA+ connectivity
- Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0
While those specs are about as high-end as they come on modern smartphones, they're not the only thing that sets the myTouch 4G Slide apart, as HTC also added some flare to the camera itself:
- Improved low-light Performance: with a backside illuminated sensor and a wide aperture lens (f/2.2)
- Zero shutter lag: innovative software features allow for an instantaneous shot at that precise moment
- SweepShot™: for capturing panoramic shots by sweeping across an entire scene in a single motion
- ClearShot™ HDR: for capturing objects in bright settings so your photos are not affected by high-contrast lighting
- BurstShot™: for capturing multiple photos in a quick burst so you don’t miss the perfect photo
There you go - if you're into taking awesome pictures with your smartphone and you're lookin' to score the hottest thing on T-Mo, then this is the deal for you. Read More
According to This is my next, rumor has it that one of Sony's upcoming tablets - the S1 - will available for preorder in the UK beginning on September 1st. That's still a couple of months down the road, so pricing, availability, final release date, and other details (including possible US release date) are lacking at the moment.
The S1 is one of a pair of tablets that Sony announced back in April, alongside the clamshell style S2. Read More
Update 6/14/11: All 3 Thrive variations are now on Amazon as well, for those who prefer themselves some tax-free shopping.
Ever since we saw Toshiba's then-unnamed tablet at CES in January, we've carefully put our ears to the ground to learn all we can about this surprisingly capable device. Today's Thrive news, then, has us excited - pre-orders have started, and all iterations of the tablet (8/16/32GB) will be shipping on the same yet-to-be-announced date next month (Toshiba's site now says "Mid-July"). Update 6/8/11: If you're set to only order from Amazon for some reason, their EVO 3D pre-order page just went up as well with the same price.
The official launch date and price for the HTC EVO 3D was just announced this morning, but Wirefly already has a pre-order deal of its own going on. Right now, you can ensure that you'll have this device ready and waiting for you on launch day for $180 with a two-year agreement, which is about $20 less then you'll be paying at Sprint. Read More
Android's hottest new tablet - the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - is now available for pre-order at Best Buy. For the rest of us, the Tab is slated to go on sale on June 17. Read More
Well, whattya know! Remember Toshiba's Thrive tablet that has been hiding in the shadows for the last few months? Well, it turns out that it may be hitting the streets somewhat soon, as it briefly showed up on J&R for pre-order earlier today. It has since been removed, but not before we got a sneak peak at some probable pricing.
Before the listing was suddenly ripped from J&R's website, the 8GB model was rocking a $449 price tag, while the 32GB version was sitting at $579 - a pretty competitive price point for a 32GB tablet. Read More
Sprint subscribers have been waiting with baited breath for news on the price of the upcoming HTC EVO 3D - and now it seems like that information is all but Sprint-official, thanks to Radioshack.
You can pick up an EVO 3D from the Shack for $200 (on a 2-year contract, of course) - trouble is, no one knows when you actually go about doing that, as there's no confirmed launch date for the EVO 3D at this point. Read More
If you've been eyeballing the HTC EVO 3D in anticipation of a launch date, then you'll be glad to know that we're one step closer to achieving that goal. In a semi-unofficial manner, pre-orders for the 1.2GHz dual core, 4.3 inch beast have started at Radioshack - but don't expect to see anyone shouting from the rooftops to let you know about it. You see, while you can pre-order with a $50 deposit starting today, this is apparently a deal only for the informed crowd (such as yourselves), as it can only be honored if you specifically ask for it. Well, it looks like the good old FCC has given their stamp of approval to the Wifi-Only HTC Flyer. As you can see in the image below, the sticker is ready for deployment and I, for one, couldn't be happier.
Now that the red tape has been cut through, we could start seeing the Wifi-only Flyer in Best Buys stores all across the land any time now (hopefully sooner rather than later). Read More
