Looks like Sprint's first LTE handset, the LG Viper, will be available for pre-order from Sprint beginning on April 12th for a reasonable $99 after $50 mail-in-rebate, and will be available in all channels "later this month."
The Viper was originally announced alongside the Galaxy Nexus earlier this year at CES as one of Sprint's premier LTE devices and is packing some reasonable specs for the price:
- 4-Inch 480x800 display
- 1.2Ghz dual-core processor
- 1GB RAM
- 5MP rear shooter, VGA front-facing camera
- 4GB built-in storage, microSD card slot
- NFC and Google Wallet
- Android 2.3 (will likely be updated to Android 4.0)
Last we heard, the Viper was said to be released on April 15th, but that seems unlikely with pre-orders beginning on April 12th. Read More

Ever since Samsung announced the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phone/tablet, we've had a lot of fun coming up with endearing names for this "tweener" device. It's certainly an interesting device and North American customers can finally get their hands on it in the next few weeks.
As promised by AT&T, the Galaxy Note is now officially available for pre-order from its website.
Similarly, Best Buy US also has the Note up for pre-order in Carbon Blue and Ceramic White. Read More

Sony unveiled a couple of new handsets at CES this week - one for the US market (Xperia Ion) and one for the international market (Xperia S). Both are powerful devices and should be the first to be released under the Sony name (not Sony Ericsson), and the latter is now available for pre-order from Clove UK for £467.99 with an expected release at the beginning of March. One of the hottest gadgets of this holiday season, the Transformer Prime (see our preview and review), is scheduled to be released the week of December 19th - that would be any day now starting today. In anticipation of the launch, Amazon re-launched pre-orders for all four color/size combinations after they went dark, disappeared completely, and even got cancelled in some cases shortly after the first wave was sold out. Update 12/18/11: It's back again - all other variants are still showing the "sign up for availability alerts" message.
Looks like Amazon may be gearing up to start (re)taking pre-orders for the Transformer Prime, with the 64GB version in champagne being the first one to make its way back to the site. As you may already know, Amazon started taking pre-orders several weeks ago, but abruptly stopped (no reason has really been made clear as to why) and ultimately ended up cancelling many users' orders. If you've been hiding your tablet lust until something larger than a 7-incher, but smaller than the current crop of 10s hits the market, then you've probably been eyeballin' the Galaxy Tab 8.9 since Sammy first announced it back in March. It has been a long wait indeed, but the pre-order page on Best Buy's website is officially live, with the 32GB variant coming in at $569, and its smaller 16Gb counterpart at only $469. Read More

The freshly announced Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch, or as I like to call it, Get-In-My-Belly, is my next Sprint device, replacing the now senile EVO 4G with its state-of-the-art gorgeous 4.52" screen and blazing fast Exynos dual cores sprinting at 1.2GHz each. Sure, the Prime may be on the horizon, but who knows when or if it will be announced on Sprint at all? In the meantime, the Epic 4G Touch is almost here to tower over all competition. Read More
