You may be considering closing your PlayStation account permanently if you stopped gaming or are transitioning to a different gaming platform. Deleting your PlayStation account is straightforward. Something's up with the internet today, and it's not your connection. Dozens of sites across the web are currently offline or experiencing issues, including Steam, Amazon, HBO Max, and more.

The PlayStation Network is generally pretty good, but nothing's perfect, so today Sony is releasing a brand new app that takes the Communities feature of PSN and puts it in an app for Android (and iOS). This makes it a bit easier to find friends and people who have similar interests, which I've found PSN lacks in the past. This goes hand-in-hand with the PlayStation app, which is an entirely separate thing for some reason.

PlayStation gamers have access to a complementary Android app that allows them to send new game downloads to their console remotely, use as a second-screen on some titles, and get social with other PlayStation members. The latter feature has now been cut from the main app and is getting released as a standalone PlayStation Messages client.
