The original Rayman Jungle Run was one of our favorite games of last year, and easily in the top tier of running and platforming games available on Android. That title was a mobile tie-in to the Rayman Origins console game, and now that Rayman Legends is out, Ubisoft is back for another mobile installment. Rayman Fiesta Run builds on the original with new levels, new powers, and new gameplay elements.

Combatting ghosts in difficult work. The Ghostbusters have been doing it since 1984, and frankly, they're tired. Lately Luigi has tried to pick up the slack, choosing to confront them head-on with his Poltergust 3000, rather than flee like his attention-hogging brother. Yet at the end of the day, there are too many ghosts for one plumber to handle, so Nintendo's taking a break, and Cartoon Network is bringing in the cast from Regular Show to stop a ghostly invasion in the mobile platform shooter, Ghost Toasters.

GravityGuy

Gravity Guy for Android has been downloaded over five million times, so there's a chance many of you are already familiar with it. This is a popular title, and with its unique gravity-shifting platforming, four-player multiplayer, and crisp visuals, it's understandable. Now Miniclip has released the sequel into the Play Store, which picks up right after the end of the first title.

Sir-Thumb

Sir! I'd Like To Report A Bug! takes its inspiration from games of a bygone era. No, this isn't merely a modern game masked with pixelated faux 16-bit visuals. This is a title that seeks to replicate the agony of the early 90s, a time when bugs weren't a reason to return a game. Instead they added another layer of challenge, another set of rules to be studied, learned, and mastered.

MotoHeroz

MotoHeroz first launched as a WiiWare title back in 2011, and it would remain one of the best releases available for the platform. The game is ultimately the product of a side scrolling platformer that bred with a racing game, and the result is a challenging title that combines the look of the former with the physics of the latter. In the end, MotoHeroz is a ride worth taking, and now you can find the keys sitting in the Play Store.

Platform games seem to have hit their stride on Android. With typical mascot-style fare like Sonic, Rayman, and Cordy, not to mention unconventional games like Bravoman, Gentlemen, and a handful of OrangePixel titles, platformer fans are spoiled for choice. Add one more game to the list, The Secret of Space Octopuses, a tongue-in-cheek game that takes inspiration from Metroid and adds in a few creative touches.

The gist is that you're an adorable alien abductee who's able to build his own helper robot in a cave, with a box of scraps.
