The second installment of the Plants vs Zombies 2 Dark Ages update has come to Android, and it brings along quite a bit of medieval-themed content for mobile gamers looking to absorb more of that hot zombie on plant tower defense action. This time around we're looking at ten new levels along with the debut of multiple plant and zombie units.
Part two introduces several gameplay altering enemies. A Wizard Zombie can use magic to turn players' powerful plants into non-intimidating sheep.
Plants vs Zombies 2 launched last year with three worlds, and an update followed months later that added a fourth one with a sci-fi theme. Now Electronic Arts has rolled out another expansion of content that introduces more plants, zombies, and stages to occupy players' time. And this one is decidedly darker.
The biggest change, as the 'Dark Ages' name would suggest, is the addition of nocturnal stages. Sun power won't fall from the sky, and rather than sunflowers, players will need sun shrooms to harness light in the dark of night.
How goes your crusade against the walking undead? No, not the vampires, the zombies. Taking on the shambling masses is getting a little sci-fi twist today with v2.1.1 of Plants vs. Zombies 2. The new far future world includes a ton of new content, and an old favorite feature from the original is making its triumphant return.
The new zone includes 24 levels, 8 new plants, and 10 new space-themed zombies.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 came out a few weeks ago with a lot of new gameplay mechanics and some in-app purchases. I didn't have a serious issue with most of the monetization in the game, but Pop Cap has just pushed an update that adds a ton of features and does away with a big chunk of the in-app purchase features.
The original Plants vs. Zombies was a fabulous mobile game even though it didn't debut on a mobile device. It launched on PC and Mac way back in 2009, a full year before it landed on iOS. Still, Plants vs. Zombies turned out to be ideal for an immersive touchscreen experience. The sequel has many of the same gameplay elements that made the first one so compelling, but there is more going on here.
It's been a long time since we battled the undead with offensive plants, but the time has come again to team up with Crazy Dave and save your brains from the zombie hordes. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is live all around the world right this minute. Things are a little different this time, though. Plants vs. Zombies 2 takes you on a trip through time, which also happens to be infested with zombies.
