All Wings Report In: Angry Birds Star Wars Begins Its Attack Run On The Play Store

Rovio has been teasing us for about a month now with yet another new Angry Birds title – Angry Birds Star Wars. The game is an almost inevitable mash-up between the smash hit mobile game and one of the most famous science fiction films of all time, and features (as you'd expect) light-saber wielding, force manipulating, laser-shooting birds. They are, of course, angrier than ever and they'll be battling more thieving pigs in more Star Wars-inspired environments than we care to count. Of course all the classic birds have been re-costumed and outfitted with appropriate accessories to remind us of Star Wars characters from Han and Chewie to Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, and even C-3PO, among others.

Rovio Launching 'Bad Piggies', A Sequel To Angry Birds, On September 27th

This little piggy had some great success. This little piggy had none. This little piggy, however, has us wondering what's going on all the way home. Rovio announced today that, in a few weeks, we'll be seeing a sequel to Angry Birds arrive on the Play Store. Instead of being built from the ground up this time (or, rather, being bought from the ground up), this one will feature the mild-mannered pigs that you've spent so much time destroying. Now you'll get the chance to empathize with them!

We haven't seen any images or videos of actual game play yet, but according to tweets from @BadPiggies, the official Twitter account for the new game, it should be very different from Angry Birds.

Angry Birds Seasons Valentine's Day Update Is Live

As promised, Rovio Mobile rolled out an update to the Angry Birds Seasons branch of its extremely popular game, this time with lots of pink, hearts, and love all around. The Valentine's Day edition features 18 new levels as well as some new carefully hidden golden eggs, and will surely knock down today's productivity levels with ripples felt all over the world.

This is getting a little too pink for my liking... oh, who am I kidding? /starts playing anyway.

Rovio Releases Angry Birds Seasons With 70 New Christmas And Halloween Levels [Hands-On]

Just as promised, Rovio, the maker of the oh-so-popular Angry Birds, released a separate game called Angry Birds Seasons today, which contains 45 Halloween levels, previously only available on iOS, as well as 25 Christmas levels.

I haven't spotted any new birds yet, and I doubt they've added any, but I'm sure a few hours later, when you all finish every level, you will let us know. Oops, I take that back - the snow levels are available one per day, starting today, all the way through December 25th (see the last screenshot to see what happens if you try to click on day 2).

Angry Birds is probably the most iconic Android game on the Market now - I mean, how often do you see people dressing up as Android game characters for Halloween, making game themed cakes and plush toys, and creating fan videos that millions can relate to? Probably not very often. Before Angry Birds actually turns into a full-fledged motion picture, let's enjoy ourselves watching hilarious gems like this one, shot for an Israeli comedy show. There is a tidbit of NSFW language in there, which, in my opinion, makes the whole thing that much more funny.
