The LineageOS project has continued to add support for more and more devices, while also adding a few improvements to the ROM itself. It's been a little while since our last status update, so it's time we took another look at how Lineage is doing.

CyanogenMod 13 comes with Android 6.0, and it has been around since the fall. But bringing each device up to date takes time. Many have spent the past few months on 12.1. My Moto G 2015 (the one I showed off last week) is one of those devices.

Would you believe that Motorola has been trying to decide what to do with the Photon Q for like...some large number of months? It's true. Up until today, the Motorola Upgrade Portal has been sitting steadily on "Future plan coming soon" for the poor ol' Q. Now, it has been updated to say "This device will remain on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)" – not much of a shocker there, really.

I know a few people who just love QWERTY phones, despite the fact that they're a dying breed. For those among you who happen to love QWERTYs and are on Sprint, there's a chance you're holding a Motorola Photon Q in your hand right now. And if that's the case, you should probably head into the Settings menu and check for updates – Jelly Bean is coming your way. Get excited.

If you have a Motorola Photon Q, time to start the ritualistic checking for updates: a new OTA is headed out this morning. Software version 7.7.1Q-6_SPR-125_ASA-14, the first update since the ASA-10 maintenance release in October, will get your Q running the latest and greatest. And no, it's not Jelly Bean (though the Q will be getting Jelly Bean... at some point). The changelog isn't much of a log, either:

Winners have been selected. Congrats to:

Who doesn't love a good software update? Today, Sprint is beginning to rollout a minor upgrade to the Photon Q that brings a few incremental improvements. Sorry, there are no Jelly Beans to be seen, but there are still some things to be excited about. Here are a few of the key features of the newest build:
