Holy crap, that was fast. According to a flood of tips we just received, at least some owners of Google Play Edition devices are now seeing updates to over-the-air Android 4.4.3. The latest incremental update to KitKat was just published yesterday - some Nexus devices don't even have it. At the time of writing (Tuesday afternoon US) we've been told that the Google Play Editions of the HTC One M7 (2013 model) and the Galaxy S4 are receiving over-the-air updates.

Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 owners, your Android 4.4.3 OTAs have finally begun, and the zip urls have been captured. A bit later than some others, but all things considered, waiting for an Android update for an extra day or two hasn't killed anyone.

If you're not familiar with the manual installation process, it's easy - just follow the steps in our guide for an earlier update, and you'll be set up with Android 4.4.3 in no time.

The Android 4.4.3 rollout is in full swing, with the 2013 Wi-Fi Nexus 7 getting its OTA early this morning and a bunch of flavors of GPE devices and various Motos receiving theirs just a few hours ago. Nexus 5 owners with locked bootloaders even started feeling a bit snubbed waiting for their OTA to arrive, but they can now breathe with ease - not only has the OTA indeed begun, but we have the download link and manual flashing instructions right here.

Ever since the unexpected delay between XE12 and XE16, the Glass team has been in a near rapid-fire mode with the OTAs. There were a staggering 5 updates of XE16 in the month of April (6 if you count the 2-parter with XE 12.1) and 3 official versions of XE17 during the month of May. As it turns out, there may be a fourth, unreleased May update to Google's experimental wearable.

Yesterday was a relatively big day for Android, at least compared to our regularly scheduled programming - Google sent us a gift in the form of the 4.4.3 update, available immediately via factory images and in AOSP. The problem with factory images, however, is that they require an unlocked bootloader to flash, so many of you opt in to wait for the respective OTAs.

The first such OTA has just arrived - it's for the 2013 Nexus 7 Wi-Fi (not for LTE yet), also known as Razor.

A week ago T-Mobile halted a relatively minor OTA update for the Galaxy S5 after some users who installed it started to suffer from reduced data speeds. Now it looks like the carrier is pushing out a new version of the update that doesn't contain the affliction. It goes by the rather lengthy name of software version G900TUVU1ANE6, a string of letters and numbers that is only one digit off from the previous G900TUVU1ANE5.

Samsung leaves no phone behind. Well okay, it does, but not all the time. I mean, certainly not a flagship device... usually. At any rate, the Galaxy Note II on Sprint is getting bumped up to Android 4.4 as we speak. Isn't that nice?

The Galaxy S5 may be the latest thing out, but a quarter-bajillion people around the world are still walking around with the Galaxy S III, and it benefits us all if they're running current software. An update bringing KitKat to the Sprint version of the handset started rolling out earlier this month, and now it's US Cellular's turn. The carrier has announced an OTA that should bump the device up to Android 4.4.2 via version R530UVXCND4.

You know the drill by now. HTC has been pushing through the Sense 6 update to the old HTC One on US carriers, and now Verizon has given it the all clear. That means Big Red's M7 is getting the OTA update with Sense 6 starting today.

Thursday we reported that T-Mobile's version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 was getting a minor bug fix in the form of a 131 megabyte update. It looks like the cure was worse than the malady, because T-Mobile has abruptly halted the G900TUVU1ANE5 update, putting up a short message on the support page by way of an explanation.

Updated May 23 @ 8:30 PM EST

The Samsung Galaxy S 5 Software update to G900TUVU1ANE5 via OTA or Kies has been paused.
