It's not often that I get to fit the entire changelog of a software update in the headline, but today's the day. Verizon has shared details about an upcoming update for the Galaxy Note 3 that does two things - strengthens connectivity and improves sound quality. Though Verizon hasn't provided a proper software version number, the build hitting devices is apparently VRUBMJ7.

It's a good time to be a Samsung owner, at least if you've got some recent hardware. After beginning an extensive campaign of Android 4.3 updates for US models of the Galaxy SIII, S4, and Note II (likely motivated by the Galaxy Gear compatibility it provides), Samsung is now starting to update the massively popular international SIII model, the GT-I9300. According to SamMobile, Irish S III owners on Vodafone are the first to get the update, with no other regions reporting in at the moment.

Sprint Galaxy Nexus owners, you can put down those pitchforks. Your Android 4.3 update is finally coming. Sure, it's arriving just in time for Android 4.4, but hey, it's not like anyone promised that your updates would be timely. Oh, they did? Well, it gets worse. The update is rolling out in stages over a 10 - 21 day period, and device selection is random. Some of you may still have close to a month to go.

Verizon got it first (for once), but now it's time for Samsung Galaxy S4 owners on Sprint to get their Android 4.3 update on. The over-the-air download should be disseminating today, though we've yet to see confirmation from Sprint itself. Assuming that it is indeed going out, the update comes right on schedule, according to a leaked Samsung document.

In addition to the standard Android 4.3 features, the OTA download (L720VPUAMJA) delivers compatibility with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch and Samsung's Knox encryption system.

Owners of almost all versions of the HTC One should have received the update to Android 4.3 by now. There's the Google Play Edition, the international version, the Developer Edition, and carrier variants for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. So what's missing from this picture? If you said "Verizon," then congratulations, you've finally become just as jaded and cynical as your friendly neighborhood tech journalist.

Sprint customers typically complain about the lackluster data coverage, but they at least have generally been able to make phone calls. Yet many customers who went out and bought the Galaxy Note 3 from the carrier found that even that ability was lacking. They suffered from garbled voices, popping sounds, and all about terrible audio quality leaving them wondering why they bought a phone over a tablet in the first place.

The Android 4.3 update for the HTC One has been making the rounds, starting in Asia, making its way to Canada, and then coming to the US via Sprint, AT&T, C Spire Wireless, and T-Mobile. Yet there are many countries not on this list, leaving a great deal of users who will be pleased to know that Android 4.3 is now popping up on International HTC Ones.

The first OTA update for Moto X has been making the rounds, already landing on T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and US Cellular. Now the enhancements are landing on Verizon devices. The delay is not at all surprising, really. When you have the best coverage in the country, you're free to take your time with these things. Verizon has all but made this philosophy corporate policy.

US Cellular, come on down: you're the next contestant on The Price Is Free. We've seen the first over-the-air update roll in for Moto X models on T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, and now Motorola has posted details on a nearly identical upcoming update for US Cellular. That will probably makes Verizon the last major carrier to apply the Moto X update. Try not to act too shocked.

As you can see, the 139.12.57 follows the updates for other carriers point-for-point.

By now we all know that HTC promised to have Android 4.3 ready for American HTC Ones by the end of September and have gotten over the disappointment in whatever way works for each of us. Sprint customers have fared the best so far, as their update started rolling out only a few days after the missed deadline. Now AT&T customers are having their day in the sun. HTC Americas president Jason Mackenzie has sent out a tweet announcing that the update has already started shipping out to users.
