Android 4.4.4 Update Should Be Rolling Out For Sprint's Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Now

Owners of the Sprint flavor of the Galaxy Note 3, I have some good news: you're going to be using the latest version of Android for at least a month or two before the L release gets its public debut. Samsung's support site has posted the changelog for the Android 4.4.4 update, which means it should be heading out to end users soon. Not only is this the latest Android build for the Note 3, I think it might be the first build of 4.4.4 for any Samsung phone in the country.

Google Glass Updated To XE21.0 With Waze Integration And Speedier Google Now Updates

Just days after the Explorer Edition of Google's first wearable device made its way onto the US Play Store, the Glass development team is starting to roll out yet another in a long history of updates. This time we're looking at XE21.0, which appears to be on the smaller side based on the changelog. Only two noteworthy details made it onto the list: faster updates for Google Now cards and accident indicators during Navigation, provided by Waze.

AT&T Updates The LG G Flex With Security, Music, And G Watch Compatibility Fixes

The AT&T version of the LG G Flex is getting upgraded! Huzzah! But don't bust out the champagne just yet, G Flex owners: at the end of your upgrade you'll still be using Android 4.4.2, like you have been since April. According to AT&T's update support page, the newest patch for the phone doesn't add very much at all.

G Flex software build D95020f adds the "latest Android security patches," an updated version of LG's built-in music app that you don't use, and some compatibility fixes for the LG G Watch.

AT&T Announces Minor LG G2 OTA Software Update Bringing A Security Patch And Slight Enhancements

AT&T is rolling out a minor over-the-air firmware update to its version of the LG G2. The change log is pretty vague with this one, and most of the changes won't be anything people particularly notice. There's a security patch, which is generally something to be thankful for (though rooted users may disagree). There's an APN update, and the included music player app has seen some attention as well. The change log closes with "G Watch compatibility," something devices running Android 4.3 or higher should already have.

AT&T Galaxy S5 Gets Minor Enhancements Via OTA Software Update G900AUCU2ANG3

Not all updates are created equal. Some are the kind that keep us up at night, leaving us banging on the virtual update button in hopes that it will appear. Others, well, if they had slipped in under the radar, we wouldn't have noticed a difference. AT&T's latest Galaxy S5 update is one of those. This over-the-air software (version G900AUCU2ANG3) bump provides a number of minor enhancements and security patches that, while dandy, aren't the equivalent of putting new rims on that ride.

AT&T HTC One M8 Android 4.4.3 OTA Software Update Now Hitting Devices

A number of HTC One M8 owners running on AT&T's network have started to receive an over-the-air software update delivering Android 4.4.3 to their devices. It doesn't bring about a big visual change for a flagship phone that already launched with KitKat, but the number of optimizations and security fixes contained within this release make it something worth downloading. Well, there's that, and there's the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from running a newer version of Android.

Sprint's Moto X Is Getting The Android 4.4.4 Over-The-Air Treatment Now

Thanks to an awesome, understated design and (eventually) a competitive price, the Moto X has quietly become a favorite among discerning Android users. And it certainly doesn't hurt that Motorola has wasted no time in bringing the latest Android updates to its compact little flagship. Today Sprint's version of the Moto X gets upgraded to Android 4.4.4, up from the 4.4.3 build released in June.

Sprint isn't the last of the "big four" carriers to release its Moto X 4.4.4 update: technically AT&T is still soak testing their release.

Samsung OTA Update For The AT&T Galaxy S5 Active Adds... Well, Not Much

Those of you with a tough-as-nails Galaxy S5 Active for AT&T are probably wondering when your phones will be updated to Android 4.4.4. And you can keep on wondering, because the latest over-the-air update from Samsung keeps the phone on the same 4.4.2 build it had when it was released three months ago. But it does add... uh, some user interface changes in the default email app? Roll out the barrels!

OnePlus One XNPH33R OTA Is Out With Badly Needed Fixes - Here Is The Zip For Manual Flashing

The OnePlus One is receiving another OTA today - one I'm probably more excited about than any other OTA the company has released so far. Mostly because unlocking the phone and using apps has deteriorated into a constant battle with an unresponsive and very moody touchscreen. Supposedly, this update should resolve this pretty major flaw, along with a few other things which I've detailed below, including the poor battery life we covered recently.
