Looking to help users organize their "cherished moments into beautiful albums – effortlessly," Sony Digital Networking Applications Inc. (SDNA) recently released Million Moments to the Play Store.

Million Moments, as you may have gathered from the heartwarming promo video above, is an app that allows users to not only capture photos, but categorize, label, organize, and lay them out into fantastic-looking albums, all using an undoubtedly beautiful UI.

Blowing other photo apps to smithereens, Million Moments' interface offers a great amount of functionality in a sleek, subtle design. Attaching tags to photos is a breeze, adding captions or other information to photos couldn't be easier, and finished albums are a pleasure to look at.

For those that can't exactly hold their device with machine precision when scanning old photos, ShoeBox offers edge detection and perspective correction, ensuring that your newly-digitized photos won't be distorted or misshapen.

ShoeBox also allows users to add tags, dates, and locations to photos and organize them into separate collections. While users can instantly share photos with services like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and others, the app also offers "private shoeboxes," which will stay separate from shareable images.

[New App] Photo Calendar – Browse Photos According To Date, Save A Ton Of Time

Looking to provide users with an alternative to Android's stock Gallery app, CultStory recently introduced Photo Calendar, an app which organizes all the photos on your device according to date (with custom album options).

Utilizing Photo Calendar's no-nonsense interface, users can browse their photos using album, month, and calendar views. The calendar view is particularly handy, displaying photos for each day of the month, and even detailing what time each image was captured.

Photo Calendar also includes intuitive, easy to use "share" functionality, allowing users to share photos via messaging, Picasa, or a variety of social media services, just like Android's Gallery app.
