Raise your hand if you've made a resolution to be more focused and productive in 2013. Now put it back down again, because you're probably reading an Android blog on a Tuesday morning when you should be working/exercising/enriching the lives of your fellow men. But if you're serious about time management, a to do list is a must, and this unofficial Cheddar app might just be our new favorite.

If you're unfamiliar with Cheddar, it's a popular to do application that seems to have a personal grudge against hardware that isn't designed in California. While the apps for Mac and iOS have been getting rave reviews, there's no official option for Android users (PC owners, you know, 90% of the market, can just suck it up and use the web).

What happens when Google's open-source program manager Chris DiBona reads one too many false claims about the nature of open source software? He takes to his soapbox on Google+ to put everyone in check.

That's exactly what happened a couple of days ago after DiBona read yet another article pounding the nature of open source, citing that it's "inherently insecure." Like any advocate for a cause would do, DiBona immediately set out to uncover the truth about security in an open source environment, paying particular attention to mobile operating systems, including Android and iOS.

No major cell phone has a 'virus' problem in the traditional sense that Windows and some Mac machines have seen.
