One-touch games work great on mobile platforms - it's part of the formula that makes endless runners and Angry Birds incredibly popular. Adapting that simplicity to racing takes a little finesse, but developer Crescent Moon Games (creators of the popular Paper Monsters and Aralon games) seems to have managed it. In Slingshot Racing, all the powered sleds go at the same speed and have no steering, so to get ahead, you fire a grappling hook at a corner fulcrum to make the best line through the icy tracks.

Idol Ultra

If you can remember who made the last "world's thinnest" smartphone, congratulations: you're a bigger newshound than I. Low-key manufacturer Alcatel is the latest to claim the title, however short-lived, with its One Touch Idol Ultra model. The 4.7-inch phone measures just 6.45 millimeters on its side. The company also introduced the more chunky One Touch Idol and the 5-inch quad-core One Touch Scribe HD.

Idol Ultra

The Idol Ultra is pretty similar in features to other high-end Android phones, with an HD (presumably 720p) AMOLED screen, a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor of indiscriminate origin, 1GB of RAM, and an 8MP rear camera.

It's been 25 years since Jaws: The Revenge hit theaters. The movie is unbelievably terrible (if you don't believe me, just ask Rotten Tomatoes, where it's got a rare 0% rating), but surprisingly, a licensed game released two and a half decades later is actually pretty fun. In Jaws Revenge, you take on the role of the titular shark to merrily swim the coastal waters, eating swimmers, divers, fish, seagulls and whatever else you can find.
