Jury Foreman Vel Hogan On Samsung Vs. Apple Case Failed To Disclose He'd Been Sued By Seagate, Partially Owned By Samsung

Just when you thought this whole Samsung vs. Apple case couldn't get any weirder, we're now hearing that Vel Hogan, the jury foreman on the case who helped guide the jurors on patent law and owns some patents himself, was once sued into bankruptcy by Seagate. Samsung, as it turns out, just happens to be the largest single investor in Seagate, owning 9.6 percent of the hard drive company's stock. While it doesn't guarantee that a juror's judgment could be clouded, it is the kind of information one would expect to be volunteered to a courtroom.

Sony Xperia TL Making Its Way To AT&T's 4G LTE Lineup 'In The Coming Weeks'

AT&T just announced the James Bond phone, otherwise known as the Sony Xperia TL, will be the newest edition to its 4G LTE lineup. First announced back at IFA, the Xperia TL is Sony's newest offering to the high-end world:

  • 4.6" 1280x720 "Reality Display"
  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 13MP fast capture camera
  • NFC
  • Android 4.0.4 (will be upgraded to 4.1 "following launch")

The press release is pretty scant on release details, stating only that it will be available "in the coming weeks."

Sprint Rolls Out LTE To More Cities, Begins Network Vision Rollout In Chicago, New York, And Los Angeles

Sprint has some presents for you, especially if you live in the midwest. For starters, several cities are getting their shiny new LTE networks lit up today including Wichita, KS, Waukegan-Lake County, IL and more (listed below). As an added bonus, the #3 carrier also announced that the Network Vision rollout is beginning in Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles. For those who are unaware, the Network Vision plan provides for significant improvements to the existing 3G infrastructure, in addition to eventual LTE upgrades.

Android 4.0.4 For The Verizon DROID Xyboard 10.1 (11.11.27.MZ617) Is Rolling Out Now

It was only a couple days ago that we heard the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Xyboard Wi-Fi models would be rolling out. Now, Verizon has announced that the same update for the LTE version of the tablet is about to rollout to customers via an OTA upgrade. The package will be about 336.4 MB, so hope you're on Wi-Fi.
