Jean-Sebastien Royer, a developer making his debut on Google's Play Store, recently released Kainy – an app that promises to allow users to stream games from their PC over a Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G connection. The first problem that comes to mind with this concept is devising a cohesive and broadly applicable control scheme. Addressing that in perhaps the most logical (and ingenious) way possible, Kainy allows users to create customized control layouts for each game.

Kainy offers ~100 preset control templates, and allows for infinite customization, as well as accelerometer control where appropriate. For added control, users can connect a Bluetooth keyboard.

I was quite impressed with OnLive's new Desktop tablet app (did I say that right?), which spins up an instance of Windows 7 Cloud edition - you guessed it, in the cloud, complete with full Office productivity programs and a few other nice things.

Dane Cook said that there are certain things every man wants, one of which is to be part of a heist. I can't say that I personally disagree with Mr. Cook, except I'm not sure that I'd fare very well in prison if my team of bank-robbing rebels was caught. That's where HEIST: The Score comes in handy.

HEIST is a rail shooter that puts you in the middle of a bank robbery back in the golden age of gangsters: the 1920s. You've got something to prove, and the heist seems relatively straight forward; until the whole thing goes horribly awry, leaving you to "fight your way out of an impossible situation."

Bringing a taste of truth to age-old rumblings of an LG Nexus device, the head of LG's Smartphone division, Ramchan Woo, has stated (in an interview with Cnet) that the manufacturer is "heavily in discussions" over a possible Nexus device, adding "we're working on it." While this quote is compelling, Cnet rightly highlights a few sticking points in the deal.

On one hand, while there is no evidence that Google will give Motorola preferential treatment following its acquisition, concerns have manifested, and partnering with any manufacturer (why not LG?) would quash any rumblings.

On the other hand, LG is decidedly pro-customization when it comes to Android's interface.

Adding to the heap of pre-MWC goodies we've seen lately, NEC decided to show off three of their new Android-powered phones today in Japan, and if nothing else, the devices look interesting.

The first thing that jumps out is the strange gizmo on the far left – it appears to have 2 displays back to back (when folded), and is labeled as the "best cloud device," hinting at easier cloud connectivity. According to The Verge, the handset also has a super powered battery to keep both displays running.

Next is the "Large Screen in One-hand" phone which, as the label suggests, appears to have a luxuriously large screen.

MWC is still a few days away, and we're already starting to get some pretty great information on the devices that will shape the mobile electronics world in 2012.

Adding to the list of pre-MWC news items, the Italian blog Telefonino.net has posted a series of videos and photos, showcasing LG's complete Android lineup for 2012, from the LG Optimus 4X HD (which we mentioned yesterday) to the Optimus 3D MAX, to the Optimus LTE. Overall it's looking like LG is ready to introduce a bevy of impressively-spec'd handsets next week. It's worth mentioning ahead of time that the videos below are in Italian, but the hands-on demonstrations are worth watching anyway.
