The American football season is just getting underway, and that means it's time for game tie-ins. Full Fat has long made games based on the flick-kick model, and now you can complete passes and score field goals with NFL Kicker and NFL Quarterback 2015.

In NFL Kicker, you have to complete field goals from different places on the field with varying wind. You've probably seen this gameplay skinned several different ways.

Not every Kickstarter campaign is doomed to failure—occasionally you get something like Back to Bed, a new puzzle game that was Kickstarted back in spring 2013. It has just arrived on Android with a really cool visual style and interesting narcolepsy-based gameplay.

All it takes is a single button and some concentration to help a bizarre type of jellyfish perpetuate its species in Deep Under the Sky. In return, you get to explore an amazing technicolor world on the dark side of Venus. This is the newest game from the developer of the similarly trippy Incredipede, but it's a much more zen experience.

You have an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the latest gaming craze to sweep the nation—Swing Copters. It's like Flappy Bird, but vertical. Yeah, it goes up instead of to the right. Revolutionary. This is the second game from Dong Nguyen of .GEARS Studios, and will presumably be the first one he doesn't unpublish for mysterious reasons in a few months. It's free with ads, but the supposed in-app purchase to remove them doesn't seem to be present in the Android version.

If I had to guess which animated show the mobile game developers at Cartoon Network enjoy most, I'd throw my money behind Adventure Time (followed closely by Regular Show, which was tied before today). The company has already released no less than four games based on the series into the Play Store, and now it's rewarding fans with two more: Rock Bandits and Fionna Fights.

Despite its musical influences, Rock Bandits is a side-scrolling 2D platformer starring Finn and Jake.

Remember the obnoxious gameplay in Flappy Bird that got everyone so upset? Amazing Brick is a little like that, but the gameplay mechanics are slightly more fleshed out. It does look like another Flappy Bird clone (rotated 90 degrees), but there's more to it.

As the game says – you are mountain, you are god. However, that's pretty much all it says. MOUNTAIN is a procedurally generated ambient game where you interact with a floating mountain hanging in space. While observing, you'll find objects which can be collected and organized, but I'm not sure why.

Update: Trademark issues with the name caused the game to be pulled a while back, but now it's available again as "Super Crossfighter." Same game, new name and listing. Radiangames is also discounting its catalog to celebrate, so check that out. The original post below should still be accurate other than the name.

Video games make a lot of assumptions about aliens, mainly that they're going to be two-dimensional and prone to shooting at stuff.

Have you heard? Michael Bay actually hates every single person who grew up in the late 80s and early 90s. This is the only explanation for what he is doing to our beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the upcoming film reboot. Setting aside this insult to history, there's a new game to go along with the move launching in the Play Store today, and it looks better than most of the movie tie-in games.

Get ready to let your mind run wild as you manufacture your own fun out of pixels in the new ReactionLab 2. On the surface this is a fairly typical "Falling Sand" style game, but it goes a bit deeper than that. There are 80 pixel elements to work with, which can be used to generate completely new substances with their own unique properties.
