Aliens-Thumb

Rebel Twins, the developer of Daddy Was A Thief, is back with another zany Android game. Aliens Drive Me Crazy puts you in the shoes of a young lad who is understandably upset when aliens decide to invade. He grabs his nearest weapon, hops in the car, and speeds off. Despite the difference in concept, the gameplay is largely similar to Rebel Twins' previous work. Players hop between floors by swiping up and down, collecting coins, overcoming foes, and rescuing innocent Earthlings in the process.

We all remember Tiny Thief, but let's set those memories aside for a moment. Rovio Stars is back with another Android title. Word Monsters is a puzzle game that's so social, it requires players to sign in using Google or Facebook immediately after completing the initial tutorial. The game itself is an adorable take on word search. Look for words on-screen and swipe them to get points. Doing so will cause them to disappear, sometimes removing letters needed for future words and adding some degree of strategy to the experience.

MLB-Thumb

The last time an RBI Baseball game hit store shelves, it was for the Sega 32x. Even in its heyday, few people knew what that Genesis-era console add-on was, and even fewer owned one. Now, two decades later, the game has returned for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, along with mobile devices.

MLB5

The original entry in the series was the first video game licensed by the MLB and the first use the names of real players.

Heroes-Thumb

It's a good thing originality isn't a pre-requisite for a good game, otherwise there would be far less enjoyment to be had on our mobile devices. Heroes: A Grail Quest is yet another clone, this time inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic, but that shouldn't prevent it from being a fun little experience. Game Dev Team, aside from having perhaps the most straightforward and honest name in the industry, has also developed the moderately well-received Sky Aces series and a 3D RTS based on mechs.

Bridge-Thumb

Bridge Constructor is a popular physics-based game that tasks players with - wait for it - building bridges (I know, I never would have guessed that one either) over various types of terrain. If the structure can survive the weight of traffic, you know you're doing it right. Now the game has received a sequel, Bridge Constructor Medieval, that takes the same concept and applies it several centuries in the past.

Dethroned-Thumb

Android gamers now have access to Treehouse's Steam Greenlit game Dethroned. This competitive action RTS tasks players with building up a ragtag band of soldiers, throwing up suitable defenses, and raiding opponents with all the force pixelated heroes can muster. The experience sits somewhere between an RTS and tower defense game, and it comes with the expected emphasis on multiplayer.

Note, early access here means early beta, so expect this adventure to be a bit rough around the edges.

When it comes to soccer games for Android, there is no shortage of options. There's soccer for FIFA fans, soccer for strategic types who'd rather not get their shoes dirty, real soccer, and (of course) soccer for zombies. Now we have a game for people who want to play from the air-conditioned comfort of their rally cars, Soccer Rally 2.

Soccer Rally 2 combines soccer with top-down racing, only there's little racing to be found here.

BanditsRacing-Thumb

For a game with the word "racing" in the title, there's very little of it to be found in Smash Bandits Racing. This title is all about outrunning the cops and destroying as much roadside property in the process as possible. The more you smash, the more you earn. The more you earn, the better your car. That's pretty much all there is to the premise, and that's okay. This visually pleasing top-down racer doesn't need much else.

FarmVille2-Thumb

Stop everything. FarmVille 2: Country Escape has exited limited beta and is now available for wide release. It's time to grab your pitchforks, because there's virtual farming that needs to be done, and neither these crops nor animals will tend to themselves. You can check out our previous reporting on the game, but here's a trailer that should get you up to speed.

The graphics are greatly improved over the 2D original, as the game now touts 3D visuals that almost make the game tempting to play.

Spiderman-Thumb

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to hit movie theaters in a matter of weeks, but that can't happen until Gameloft releases a mobile video game adaptation first. Fortunately there's no reason to fret. The game is here, so anyone who can't wait to live vicariously through a teenager in blue and red spandex can scratch that itch right away.

Spiderman3 Spiderman4

The game has the Spider-Man essentials covered. There's plenty of web-slinging, fist-swinging, and wall-climbing goodness to be found here, along with 3D cutscenes, voice-acting, and the minimal amount of effort needed to secure more money from in-app purchases.
