Google Wifi now available in Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden

Up until recently, the Google Wifi router and mesh network system was only available in 7 countries on the Google Store: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. The country availability support page of Google even officially attests to that. But Google Wifi is now up for sale in 5 more countries, mostly from Northern Europe.

Dutch town Bodegraven runs a traffic light trial for "zombie" smartphone users

We're all probably guilty of it at some point. We're looking at our phones and we get so engrossed with what's on the screen that we forget the world around us. What we may not all be guilty of though, but that many people still do, is looking at phones while walking on the street, and even worse, while crossing the street. That "zombie" behavior not only endangers the pedestrian doing it, but also the incoming drivers, other pedestrians, and everyone on the road.

Dutch town Bodegraven is starting a trial for a new traffic light that wants to solve that issue by providing more visual feedback for smartphone users in an angle that makes sense to them: down on the floor.

Sony's Xperia Z5 Series Pricing Surfaces Across Europe — From €549 For The Z5 Compact To €799 For The Z5 Premium, Even More In The UK

Sony is one of the very rare companies who know how to balance the right level of features between smaller and larger devices. Their newly announced Z5 series has a very powerful Z5 Compact, a good Z5, and a slightly fluffed up Z5 Premium, all without compromising on processor, RAM, or camera performance.

However, that comes at a price and we're just starting to discover what the tag will be on these smartphones. Nest And Nest Protect Launch In Belgium And The Netherlands On Google Play

For folks who like to stay on the cutting edge of technology (which I assume includes you, since you're reading an Android blog), thermostats and smoke alarms don't get much cooler than the Nest and Nest Protect. They're Internet-connected, which is great because reasons. They can talk to your mobile device, which is all any gadget really needs to do to be considered smart (since many of us do less talking on our smartphones these days, does that make us dumber?). And now they're available in the Play Store for sophisticated shoppers in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Google Play Newsstand Paid Content Is Now Available In India And The Netherlands [Update: Russia And Spain Too]
