Paranoid Android's PIE Navigation System Is Almost Out Of The Oven, And It Smells Fantastic [Video]

When it comes to custom ROMs, we generally stick to covering CyanogenMod and – more recently – AOKP. Every once in a while, though, something really special, unique, or just downright awesome shows up in another ROM. In this case, it's PIE. A ROM that can make pie. No, wait, that's not right. It's a feature baked into the Paranoid Android ROM that completely revamps the navigation area. 

All pastry jokes aside, PIE is a fully-customizable replacement for the stock on-screen navigation buttons found in more recent versions of Android. It stays hidden off-screen, only to be brought to life by a predefined gesture.

I'll be the first to admit that I find most live wallpapers pretty pointless. It's not that I don't appreciate the time and effort that goes into making them - it's just that I like to keep things clean, and all the background movement just seems so impractical. However, every once in a while a LWP shows up that makes me second guess my stock wallpaper. This is one of those times.

With what may possibly be the most cut-and-dry app name in the Play Store, this wall is simply called 3D Image Live Wallpaper. And that's exactly what it does: brings the third dimension alive for basically any image you can currently set as your wallpaper.

[Updated] Reddit User Crafts A Beautifully Integrated Sci-Fi-esque Homescreen Using Apex Launcher And A Custom Wallpaper

If you've ever cruised through r/AndroidThemes, then you've probably seen some pretty impressive homescreens floating around. Some are ultra-minimal. Others are highly functional while still retaining an appealing look. Then, there are those that just stand out from the crowd because of a well thought-out layout.

The Sci-Fi Interface Theme by Reddit user Futant55 is a shining example of the latter. It has the look of something very difficult to create, but is actually just a few widgets precisely placed to fit in perfectly with the custom wallpaper. Have a look:

[New Game] Cytus Comes To Android From iOS, Actually Makes Music Rhythm-Style Games Appealing On Touch Devices

We've all played some sort of music rhythm game before - be it Guitar Hero, Rock Band, or Tap Tap Revenge. While only one of those was actually meant to be played on a touchscreen device, it still left something to be desired. Enter a new music rhythm game that not only looks fantastic, but actually makes sense to play: Cytus.

Cytus was originally for iOS devices and has now made its way to Android. In all honestly, it's extremely difficult to explain in text, so here's an excellent video that we found on YouTube that really displays what Cytus is all about:
