DISH Network has updated their official app with a variety of improvements and new features, making it better both as a streaming video player and as an account management console. Probably the best addition in this update is the ability to support multiple profiles for a single subscriber account, a la Netflix. Each profile will have its own favorites list and recommendations, making family sharing a lot smoother.

Official NCAA March Madness App Gets 2015 Schedule And A Material Redesign

March Madness will soon be upon us. The 2015 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament is set to start next week. If you've made the appropriate arrangements with your TV provider, you can watch every game on your Android phone or tablet (whichever one you feel most comfortable yelling at in public).

The NCAA March Madness app provides live access to 67 games spread across CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV. CBS doesn't require a cable or satellite subscription, but the others do.

HTC Sense TV App Update Brings Support For American Football And Rugby

The Sense TV app comes pre-installed exclusively on a number of HTC handsets, such as the One M7 and, more recently, the M8. It serves as an image-heavy, contextual remote that tries to take the hassle out of keeping up with what's playing on which channels. There's also a sports component that places emphasis on athletic shows and current scores. Today's update takes that last element and mixes it with good ol' American football and a shot of rugby.

Google Now Update: NCAA Basketball Teams Can Be Manually Added To Sports Card

Good news, basketball fans. Google has been gradually upgrading the Now service to include a wider range of sports teams, and today Division I NCAA basketball teams from all over the US can be manually added to your personal Now results. Go into the Google Now settings page, tap "Sports," and search for your favorite school. Only basketball is supported at the moment - here's hoping that football teams are added before the season starts.

NCAA College Basketball And Football Are Finally Starting To Appear In Google Now, Still No Manual Team Selection [Update]

One of the most often requested additions to Google Now's card system is college sports for the US, and it looks like at least some people are finally starting to see it. A very small number of Google Now users have seen cards appear for their favorite NCAA football and basketball teams (sorry, women's ice hockey fans, no dice). The results seem to be entirely contextual at the moment; you can't add college teams in the settings menu yet, but a few sports fans are seeing the relevant cards appear after they search for their team.
