MTV wants you to know that its new MTV Artists app is now available in the Play Store, and that the offering makes it easy to discover musicians you haven't yet grown accustomed to. It contains thousands of music videos, free tracks, and a sizable selection of photos highlighting artists doing what they do best. You can also use it to discover the name of a track by letting the app listen to a sample of the song.

"I want my MTV" was the promotional slogan that Music Television used to get itself onto just about every American cable company. Twenty years later the network seems to have just about anything except music on its lineup, but if you still want it, the new official app can deliver MTV's programming right to your Android phone. The self-titled MTV app grants access to current shows in an on-demand setup, but only if you already pay for cable or satellite TV.

Making it perhaps a little too easy to access Tosh.0's full "online experience," MTV Networks (on behalf of Comedy Central) recently released the official Tosh.0 app to Google's Play Store, adding a suggestion that users ditch their computers, because after all, "opening browser windows is for government workers and exchange students."

The app allows users to immerse themselves in a Tosh-centric world of internet interest, reading posts from the Tosh.0 blog, checking out Tosh's latest caption challenge, and watching videos from all seasons of Tosh.0, including everything from Web Redemptions to Video Breakdowns and more.
