Verizon Releases Viewdini App For Android, Will Be Your Guide On The Magical Journey Through Internet Video

Internet video is the future. It's hard to argue that. The mobile landscape is chaotic, though, and figuring out which services have what shows or movies can be a complicated task. Viewdini, from Verizon, wants to be the digital age's TV Guide, aggregating show info, availability, reviews, and discovery into a single app. Search for the name of a show or movie and you'll get info about it, as well as where you can watch it.

In addition to featuring info about shows, movies, and music, the app also integrates reviews. While not explicitly mentioned in the app's description, the video below clearly shows Metacritic's highly-regarded reviews being featured, as well as being "powered by" TV.com, a leading TV database juggernaut.

Up until now, there have been two types of music services to choose from (aside from local media, of course) - streaming radio like Pandora or Slacker, or personal content streaming with services like Google Music or Amazon Cloud Player. mSpot is looking to change the game, however, by combining the two.

The updated mSpot Music app really is a great idea - it combines your personal music collection with streaming music discovery radio. This is the type of service that I have wanted for quite some time now, because while I love to listen to my own music collection, I'm always looking for new artists to check out.

mSpot Reacts To Amazon Cloud Player, Ups Free Storage Capacity To 5GB

As a direct result of Amazon releasing its (awesome) Cloud Player, music streaming service mSpot has upped its free storage to 5GB. mSpot works almost exactly like Amazon Cloud Player – upload your music, download the app, and stream to your heart's content. Unlike Amazon, however, the most storage that you can get from mSpot is 40GB ($3.99/month) with no plans in between the basic (5GB) and premium (40GB). On the upside, you don't have to shell out the annual fee right away - paying $4/month rather than prepaying for a year could attract some consumers to the service.
