In an effort to get XOOMs flying off the shelves for Father's Day and graduation time, Motorola is offering a pretty sweet deal: between now and June 14th, if you buy a XOOM directly from them, you'll get a free Bluetooth keyboard (valued at $69.99). If that deal isn't already sweet enough, though, you'll also get free 2-day shipping on the order.

There is one catch, however: this deal is not applicable on the 3G XOOM if you bundle it with a plan - but if you plan on buying it outright (without signing a contract), then you're good to go.

Do you wish your XOOM was an ASUS Transformer - but leather? Motorola's got a new keyboard / leather folio case out for the XOOM, and it's on sale for a pretty reasonable $85. Spiffy. It's unknown if the keyboard is connecting via Bluetooth, but that seems like the most obvious way to go about doing this, as there's no mention of any sort of charging functionality, so we assume it's all done sans wires.

Shortly after officially adding support for the original Galaxy S line that is now approaching its first anniversary, the CyanogenMod team set out to prove once again that it's the single greatest ROM family in the world of Android, breathing lives even into devices that are approaching retirement age.

No, it's not a shiny new Atrix or a beefy G2x (at least not yet) - this time it's the good old gramps Motorola CLIQ, also known as DEXT outside the U.S.

We've all heard the rumors about why the XOOM hasn't gotten its LTE implant yet, and why the Droid Bionic was delayed - and there was a lot of speculation that said it was because of incompatibility between the Tegra 2 chip and Verizon's LTE. NVIDIA has made a statement regarding the matter, and says that is simply not true. See for yourself:

Tegra has no compatibility issues with LTE at all.

You saw some of the leaked Bionic pictures earlier today, but now thanks to PhoneHK we can give you even more information about the upcoming monster of a Motorola handset. First and foremost, this thing will (at least according to this test unit) be running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread right out of the gate:

That's a relief. If the Bionic had shipped with Froyo, Motorola might have had a user rebellion on its hands.

After digging through a pile of pictures from the Chinese website Moto.it, a tipster at MobileGearz discovered what appear to be leaked shots of the upcoming Motorola DROID Bionic. So, without further ado, here they are:

Yep, that's a Webtop dock you're seeing. Not to mention a completely new and revamped version of BLUR, Motorola's generally hated UI overlay. I have to admit, this version of BLUR actually borders on attractive.

Horrific battery life on Android phones is nothing new, and neither is the mind-blowing shattering frailty of said handsets. We've seen - and reviewed - solutions to both of these issues, but for those who want a convenient, all-in-one product, nothing beats XPAL's "PowerSkins."

Available for a variety of devices, PowerSkins are, in a sentence, silicone cases with built-in batteries from which your phone can sip juice once its internal supply has run dry.

Apparently Motorola is in the middle of a site redesign. Exciting, right? Pff... no. But the contents that were discovered because of said site redesign... now that's pretty exciting. PocketNow has acquired some images of the new site that display some upcoming Moto devices, including the XOOM 2, a couple of new handsets, and, curiously enough, a watch.

Let's start off with the new phones: the Slimline and the Zaha (shown above, respectively).

Intro

For the past 3 weeks, I've been rigorously testing Samsung's latest Android tablet - the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and I am happy to report that my verdict is now out. I hope you will forgive such a long review timeline, but I wanted to really dig in deep and get the full experience, all while comparing it to that of the Motorola XOOM.

I know a lot of you will jump to the Conclusion right away, but I urge you to read all the interesting sections as well - In A Nutshell, The Good, and The Not So Good at a minimum.

In typical speedy fashion, the official Gingerbread update for the Motorola Droid X has already been rooted and mirrored for mass consumption. Two versions are available, as is usual for releases of this nature: odexed and deodexed. The instructions aren't exactly simple, and you have to know what ROM and version you're currently running in order to properly update (then again, chances are that if you're rooted and ROMed in the first place, you probably already know those details).
