Sprint Drops On-Contract Nexus 6 Price To $249, Will Issue Refunds To Those Who Ordered At $299

Sprint has lowered the price of its on-contract Nexus 6 from $299.99 to $249.99. This brings the carrier's asking price in line with AT&T, who previously sold a near identical version for $50 less. The full cost of the phone has also dropped down to $648, making Sprint's version one dollar cheaper than what you find on Google Play.

This comes as good news to future Sprint customers, who can now save themselves the potential headache of buying from another carrier without having to fork over extra money (ignoring all the extra moolah it takes to sign a two-year contract in the long run versus paying for a phone outright, an option that isn't actually available yet on the site).

Motorola Spotlight Story 'Duet' Now Available On Your Moto Devices, And It's Awesome

The third installment of Motorola's Spotlight stories has arrived in the Spotlight Player, and it's called Duet. Like the last two videos, this is an interactive story that you experience by moving your device around to follow the characters. While the last stories (Windy Day and Buggy Night) were quirky and whimsical, Duet is one of those heartstring-tugging, Disney-esque shorts. If you don't want to see too much, go watch the story now before checking out the screenshots.

If you are one of the lucky few who were able to place an order for the Nexus 6 from Google or Motorola early on, you might want to check your email. Nexus 6 Review: Google And Motorola Have Made A Great Big Phone At A Normal Price

Reviewing a Nexus phone is always a daunting task. It’s one of the most important devices of the year for much of the Android community, and it represents - in theory - the very best of what Google has to offer on phones for the respective update period.

I’ll start by saying the Nexus 6 is a great phone, albeit huge. It’s also different from previous Nexus phones in a number of key ways, which I’ll try to cover as faithfully as possible in this review.

Besides just being a great phone, though, the Nexus 6 represents a shift for Google’s Nexus strategy.

Motorola's Keylink Bluetooth Accessory Pops Up At A T-Mobile Retailer For $24.99

Last week's update to the Motorola Connect support app showed off the "Keylink," an accessory we hadn't seen before. Based on the shots of the app, it looked like a simple Bluetooth gadget that lived on your keyring and made it easy to find your keys from your phone, or vice versa. Now it looks like Motorola has officially launched the Keylink: one of our readers spotted at least one T-Mobile retail store selling it for $24.99.

The Keylink is similar to the Power Pack Micro, a Motorola gadget that also includes a Bluetooth radio and speaker for easy location, but adds in a small rechargeable external battery.

Motorola's Soak Test For Lollipop On The Moto G (2nd Gen) Appears To Be Next

Less than a week ago, we received word that Motorola had already started its soak test for an over-the-air update bringing Lollipop to the Moto X 2014 Pure Edition. With this news, there's a good chance the phone will get Android 5.0 before Nexus devices (not counting the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9, which ship with the software). Now a tipster has come to us saying that the company has begun a test for this year's Moto G as well.

Winter Is Coming: Expect Low Nexus 6 Inventory At T-Mobile Retail Stores On November 12th

Google's pre-order sales of the Nexus 6 on the US Play Store have been, to put it delicately, crap. By my estimate all four storage and color variants of the phone have been available for ordering for a grand total of about twenty minutes over the last two weeks, and Motorola hasn't fared much better selling them on its own site. If you're waiting for the retail release of the Nexus 6... prepare to be disappointed.

A tipster sent us this image of a purported T-Mobile internal memo.

wm_tmo

If you're too busy to read the image above, here's the gist: only certain T-Mobile retailers will be getting the N6 on November 12th, and even at those, the inventory will be "constrained." They'll be happy to take your money and ship the phone directly to your home...
