The award-winning Ustwo Studios is well known for the hit Escher-inspired game Monument Valley, and now Google has enlisted the developer to help show off the Pixel 4's new Motion Sense quick gestures. In Headed South, you play as a bird trying to flock with others while flying through brightly-colored worlds. There's only one problem I've found so far: it doesn't work.

Levels is a new video series from Red Bull that dives into the world of indie gaming. The latest episode reveals that ustwo, the creators of Monument Valley, is currently working on two new games for mobile. Both titles are described as departures from the Monument Valley franchise.

Ustwo's beautiful Monument Valley titles are very clever, satisfying puzzlers, but at $4 and $5 for the original and its sequel, respectively, they're a little pricier than some mobile gamers are comfortable with. If you've been hesitant to try them out, maybe this will entice you: both are currently just 99 cents on the Play Store.

Deadline has revealed that ustwo games will collaborate with Paramount Pictures and Patrick Osborne to create a Monument Valley movie. Patrick Osborne is best known for writing and directing the animated shorts Feast (a film that won the Oscar for best animated short film in 2015) and Pearl, but this newly announced project will supposedly contain both live action and CG elements to create some sort of hybrid. The premise appears to revolve around live-action characters that venture into the game’s animated world.

For passionate Android fans, there are few times of year that are happier than when we're glued to our screens reading all the news, watching all the streaming sessions, and catching up on everything that's happening at Google I/O. The past few days have kept us seriously busy with the Android P beta, to say nothing of updates for other Google services. But even with all these heavy-duty distractions going on, we still had an eye out for the best new deals and offers to land. In case you missed them first time around, here are some of our favorite ways to save a little money this week.

Every time we see Monument Valley go free on the Play Store, we have to stop whatever we're doing for a second and let you know about it. The game is quite "old" at this point, but it still feels timeless. From the clean designs, engaging music, to the smart geometric puzzles and perspective-shifting environment, it is a delight. And if you've never played it before, now you can.

The sequel to the beautiful isometric puzzler Monument Valley was released in November, but if you still haven't played the original and you're wondering what all the fuss is about with this gorgeous perspective-bending game, then you might be in for a new year treat: Monument Valley is free now in several countries around the world.

The original Monument Valley won our hearts in 2014 with its clever puzzles and beautiful low-poly design. Now, the sequel has launched on Android as promised. The game can be yours for $4.99—no in-app purchases, ads, or timers.

The original Monument Valley launched in 2014 and immediately captured everyone's attention with its impossible Escher-esque world of forced perspective and intuitive touch controls. There have been a few add-ons to the game since then, but now a true sequel is about to launch on Android—Monument Valley 2 is live for pre-registration on the Play Store.

Ustwo, the developer of the popular game Monument Valley (and Sky Kids) has a new app called Face Maker. No, it's not an app for creating human faces, it's an app for designing watch faces for Android Wear. Ustwo is no stranger to the Android Wear world—it has released several other watch face packs in the past, but this is the most configurable yet.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a Monument Valley-style puzzle game, a two-player board game, a cyberpunk point-and-click adventure, two stylized "retro" games, a Risk-style strategy title, and a SHIELD-only extreme sports sequel. Without further ado:

Monument Valley remains one of the finest puzzle experiences on a mobile device, but it's unfortunately somewhat short. There's a little more to love today with the release of Ida's Dream, a chapter that was originally created for a charity promotion on iOS. You can get it for free if you've already purchased Monument Valley—no extra IAP required.

Amazon's latest app giveaway is worth more than $50 and will remain available for the next week. As you can see in the hero image, some of the headliners include The Bard's Tale and Weather Live, though there are several more that may interest you. And while the super-popular Monument Valley has disappeared from the promotional page, it's free too. This is bigger and better (and longer-lasting) than its typical free daily deal, though it isn't their best ever. Beyond those already mentioned, you might want to pay special attention to Quell Memento and Alarm Clock Pro.Here is the full list of what's on offer, all of them free for now:

Monument Valley is without a doubt one of the coolest and most innovative games to ever grace an Android device, and now there's an expansion with eight more levels to delight and entertain. The Forgotten Shores update is available in the Play Store after originally debuting in the Amazon Appstore on Friday. It's a $1.99 in-app purchase, but that seems perfectly reasonable.

Just one day after its run as Free App of the Day on Amazon's Appstore, Monument Valley is getting its new levels - titled Forgotten Shores - today, again through Amazon. The levels, which come via an in-app purchase of $1.99, will be exclusive to the Amazon Appstore until this Sunday, with the update coming to the Google Play Store after that.

If there ever was a reason to use the Amazon Appstore, this is it. Monument Valley, the game that has enchanted and awed (almost) everyone who played it is being offered for free today by Amazon, down from its original price of $3.99.[EMBED_YT]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC1jHHF_Wjo[/EMBED_YT]Monument Valley is a perspective and geometry puzzle, drawn with pixel-perfect precision, painted with gorgeous colors, and wrapped in an engulfing ambient soundtrack. Yes, I'm waxing lyrical about a game, but it deserves it. For the 1-2 hours that it takes you to complete the levels, you are entirely transported into its eery and magical world, and that's its biggest charm. Bertel already reviewed Monument Valley, but it would take you more time to read the review than to download the Amazon Appstore on your Android device and grab it.

Monument Valley is another reminder that a game doesn't have to be long to be worth the ride. At this moment, it's discounted to just 99 cents on the Amazon Appstore, a discount of 75%. I've expressed my fondness for this game before, so I don't need to ramble on too much here when I tell you that, assuming you can put up with having Amazon as the distributor, this is a deal that you're going to want to jump on if you have yet to put the immersive puzzler through its paces.

Okay, we had an app sales post earlier today, but something just popped up that we felt was worthy of its own emergency sales post in case we don't get another full sales roundup ready before it's gone. Monument Valley, easily one of the coolest games to grace Android in... well, ever... is on sale for $2.49. Update: It's $1.99 now. Are you buying it?
