You think it's over? It's not over until ASUS says it is. And in addition to a handful of other hardware announcements at Computex, they've pulled the wraps off of a pair of more standard tablets in their MeMO line. The 10-inch MeMO Pad FHD (for "Full HD," we presume) is the more interesting of the two, thanks to its 1920x1080 screen IPS screen and unconventional Intel Atom processor. The MeMO Pad HD 7 is a slight refresh of the original, budget-friendly MeMO Pad, this time with a high-res screen and a quad-core processor.

The MeMO Pad FHD 10 comes with an Intel Atom Z2560 CPU running at 1.6Ghz - a Clover Trail model, and the first dedicated Android machine from ASUS to use Intel chips.

The reading of Friday's verdict was no doubt an intense moment for just about everyone interested in the mobile tech world. Apple swept up decisions for $1.049 Billion in damages, Samsung was denied its claims against Apple across the board by the nine-person California jury, and both sides immediately released impassioned responses to the decision, calling on the feelings of spectators and case-long mantras that kept onlookers from both sides in rapt attention.

Google, which has stayed mum throughout most of the Apple v Samsung proceedings, spoke up today. The Mountain View giant released a statement significantly more even-handed than that of either Samsung or Apple, though from Google's perspective, the decision is (rightly) perceived as an entirely non-cataclysmic event.

ASUS turned a few heads with their recent device unveilings, with one of the more intriguing ones being their Eee Pad MeMO. Unlike almost every other tablet device here at CES, the MeMO is not using a Tegra II processor but will instead be powered by the latest Snapdragon. The MSM8260 is the first dual core processor we've seen from Qualcomm, and we were eager to put the 1.2 GHz chip through its paces. Unfortunately, the MeMO crashed during the 3D rendering section of the Quadrant benchmark. Prior to this, the Neocore benchmark had gone into some kind of endless loop, so our attempts at empirical measurement of the device's capabilities were frustrated.
