Android Mar... errrr... GetJar Market, exclusively. Instead of uploading to the official Market first, Rovio decided to go for an alternative market called GetJar, probably in a deal to promote it. The Market version is promised "soon," which would be good right about now, as GetJar apparently wasn't prepared for the influx of visitors and promptly crashed for a couple of hours.
Last night, @IncredibleDoes threw a shout out on Twitter to let the world know that HTCSense.com was now live.
While the selection of users and phones that can utilize the service right now is very (more like extremely) limited, it is still exciting to see this coming to fruition. There are devices both upcoming and already out that are slated to receive the new Sense, and it is nothing short of mind-blowing how much functionality they've added. Read More
As promised and exactly on time, the pre-order page for the upcoming T-Mobile G2 has gone live on T-Mobile's website. Unfortunately, it looks like only existing T-Mobile customers are allowed to submit their preorders, with everyone else being left to dry for now.
The upcoming flagship Android phone will cost you $199.99 after a mail-in rebate on a contract or $499.99 without. That is inline with Best Buy's preorder deal from 2 weeks ago and $50 more than Radioshack's preorder, which is currently the best deal available. Read More
Rain, shine, or literally freakin' tornado in the part of the country which isn’t supposed to have such weather, Android Police is there. As promised, I attended the press event thrown by Samsung on Thursday, during which they were to announce their "latest Android-powered device" as well as their new Media Hub service.
While the fact that Samsung was to announce a tablet device was officially a secret, we all pretty much knew the mystery device was going to be the Galaxy Tab. Read More

The long awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab is now official. After finally getting revealed at the IFA 2010 conference just about an hour ago, all proverbial cats are finally out of their proverbial bags. While those members of the press who are actually present on location are playing with display units (unfortunately, that doesn't include us, this time), the rest of us can browse around the official Galaxy Tab site which Samsung launched following the announcement. Samsung Galaxy S comes with 4 absolutely stunning live wallpapers, exclusive to Samsung. User persiansown from xda forums was able to port all of them to his Nexus One, and I don't see anything technically stopping any other phone supporting live wallpapers from using them too - EVO 4G was already also confirmed working.
There is only one caveat - you have to be rooted and flash the provided .zip file from recovery. Read More
