While we were able to test this process on the Virgin Mobile variant, it has not been tested on the Sprint version. It's not advised that you even attempt this on the Sprint variant until we've been able to test it first.

The day that many Sprint customers have been waiting for is finally here: the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. That's not the only new device to hit The Now Network today, either - the LG Viper and LG Optimus Elite also join the ranks of new offerings on Sprint.

Although the Galaxy Nexus pre-order inventory sold out after only three days of availability, it looks like there are plenty to go around now. While the device is going for $200 with a two-year agreement on Sprint's site (and in-stores), Wirefly is currently offering it for $150 for both new and existing customers (with qualifying agreement, of course).

Do you remember the small anticlimactic device dubbed the LG Optimus Elite that we told you about a few weeks ago? Well, Sprint and LG just made this little guy official. Here's a look at the official spec sheet:

With specs like that, you probably expect this device to be free, eh? Bad news - it's not. In fact, it's $80. Granted, you get $50 of that back by way of mail-in-rebate (making the device $30), you still have to fork over $80 (plus tax) if you want to pick this phone up.

Images and details about the upcoming LG Optimus Elite for Sprint and its prepaid subsidiary Virgin Mobile have made their way to the internet, and the only thing I can say about it is this is one confused device, and it couldn't be further from 'elite'.

While this device may not look half bad, under the hood it's the most underwhelming thing that we've seen in many months - save for one unexpected feature on a device like this.
